HONG KONG AIRPORT AUTHORITY

Hong Kong International Airport Selects Motorola’s TETRA Digital Radio System

HONG KONG – 25 February 2008 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) announced today that the Hong Kong Airport Authority has selected Motorola’s TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) digital radio system for Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). HKIA serves more than 47 million passengers a year and is one of the busiest aviation and logistic hubs in Asia and the world. The new TETRA system will enhance the efficiency of radio communications for airport operations at HKIA.

HKIA is experiencing rapid growth in passenger and cargo traffic, which corresponds to a need for more user capacity in its airport communications system. To meet rising requirements, the Hong Kong Airport Authority has decided to upgrade its existing analogue system to Motorola’s Dimetra IP system, the latest in TETRA technology that will provide HKIA with more efficient and failsafe radio communications.

Configuration • Dimetra IP MSO

• 3x MTS4 base stations

• Using existing LCX/RFDS

• Plan to implement data e.g. WAP, AVLS Today there are 1,000+ TETRA radios in use

BANGKOK AIRPORT Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok was opened in September, 2006. The current capacity of the new airport is 45 million passengers per year with its two passenger terminals. However, the airport is expected to handle 100 million passengers per year in four passenger terminal complexes when the airport expands two-fold in accordance with future plans.

800 MHz TETRA system provides voice and data communications for airport operations such as:

• operation maintenance, security, baggage handling, ground and catering services and etc.

System comprises: • Originally 3 base sites with a total of 26 base

radios, and 2,350 portable and mobile radios to support the communications requirements of the new airport.

• An additional 3 base stations with 26 base radios and 1,940 subscribers were added over two expansion orders.

Motorola’s portable radio provides the assurance of robust performance on the field with the Motorola Accelerated Life Testing (ALT)TM and the Military Standard 810.

The MTP750 radios are also certified as Intrinsically Safe by Factory Mutual® Approvals (FM).

Today there are 5,000+ TETRA radios in use

6 base stations in Suvarnabhumi and 1 base

station in Don Muang
