Dear SirsWe wish to strongly protest at the wish for Morrison's Brentford to extend the sell ing of alcohol in thestore. This wil l have a very adverse affect on the central area of Brentford and the environment around it.There is already a problem in Brentford with drinking and excess l itter - this wil l only get worse. Also thelocal Police Station closed down a few years ago so policing wil l probably be non-existent.Please do not grant the l icence to them.

The changes inshopping hours have been extremely helpfulserving allof us both families, shift workers and a newgeneration ofEuropeans within our community.The extension on the hours ofopening at Morrisons has recently changed.I am totally against the o(tension on selling alcohol up to midnight. I see this as counterproductive with a licence toincrease in-intolerant behaviouron our streets due to an ease of purchase of a lco hol without policing in place tomonitor incidents.There are enough hours in ourday for people to plan ahead and purchase theirdaily quota what everthat mightoel

Back in the summer | \ role lo Chiswick Police Sralion loobject about the ganting ofa licence to sell alcoholfor Boston News in theparade ofshops opposite the station.

I did not receive a reply and uflfortunately do not rcmemberwho I wrote to, but my Councillor, Theo Dennison took itup on my behalf Unfortunately the new owner was giantedthe licence.

The reason for my objection is that our lawn is r.sed as apublic toilet even in broad daylight and we have had theChiswick Police, the SNT and the Hounslow Wardensdown to discuss this mattsr.

Apart from the safety ofthe women living at the Dell Iwas horrified to read about the proposals fot Morrisonsin Brentford to be open from 6 a.m. to 12 midnightin the TWsNewslette. and in the Hounslow Chronicle.

Whilst we do not have violence in Brcntford we do not wantanymore unsociable behaviour.

I do not want to see men or women walking up BostonManor Road drinking out of cans, and back in Octobera woman was udnating on the verge at the top oftheprope.ty. I even had to stop an office worker whocarried on urinating while he was talking to me. Hisexcuse was that he was diabetic and that he could notfind a toilet in the Brentford Health Centre.

Nobody seems to realise that we were not happy about theBoston News being granted a licence, but Morrisons wouldoeate even more prcblems-
