THERMOPROGRAM TH350

The TH350 programmable thermostat has been designed to ensure perfect temperatures any time of day, any day of the week.The TH350 features a new temperature control system and new functions.The TH350 has been designed to guarantee ideal tem-perature conditions and to adapt itself to all types of sys-tems having differing thermal inertias (convector heaters, radiant underfloor heating, electric heaters, etc.).It is possible to choose between differential control mode and integral proportional control mode (management of cycles/hour). The latter allows the programmable ther-mostat to reduce the time the boiler is in operation as the room temperature approaches the desired temperature. This provides a greater reduction in consumption while at the same time providing the highest levels of comfort.The TH350 has new features and functions that include: • a backlit display;• the possibility to set boiler ignition down to the quar-ter-hour;• a new AUTOMATIC ADVANCE function that allows the TH350 to self-learn the periodicity required to achieve the desired temperature at any chosen point in time;• an option to calibrate the measured room temperature;

Use only ALKALINE batteries

Page 3: TH 350 - bpt.it 24806610 13-03-13.pdfTH 350 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE TH350E 24806610 13-03-13. 2 Congratulations on the purchase of this TH350 thermostat. For best performance and to enable

• the use of a GSM relay interface which makes it possible to remotely activate a manual or timer controlled pro-gramme thus ensuring a welcoming return home.Wall mounting the installation takes only minutes. The thermostat can be connected to the heating/cooling installation simply by means of two wires.Three alkaline LR03 1.5V penlight AAA batteries are used to power TH350 for over a year. Once installed the unit is ready for operation based on its permanent memory standard programme. Based on actual needs, the programme can be modified as required by setting the desired temperatures for different times of the day and week. The TH350 can be programmed with great ease, even before it is installed. The spacious backlit display makes this easier, because at any time it permits the viewing of all data and programmes which can subsequently be changed as required.Pressing the programming buttons causes the display to light up for about 15 seconds from the last time any key was pressed. The thermal differential is programmable from 0°C to 0.9°C. The TH350 can control both heating and air-condi-tioning systems, and can be installed as a replacement for a previous on/off programmable thermostat.

Thermal differential is programmable from 0°C to 0.9°C.Suitable for systems with differing thermal inertias (convector heaters, underfloor heating, electric heaters) ensuring best system use with the lowest possible consumption.

Proportional/integral adjustment programmeAllows for energy consumption optimisation with maximum room comfort thus reducing boiler operating times based on the difference between the set temperature and the room temperature. The smaller the difference between these tem-peratures the shorter the boiler ignition time will be compared to previously.

AUTOMATIC ADVANCE functionThe TH350 self-adjusts so as to provide the desired temperature at the pre-selected time.

Boiler ignition and shutdown setting with 15 minute precisionIn automatic operating mode the TH350 can ignite or shut-down the boiler on the half or quarter of each hour, thus allowing for more pre-cise management of room comfort programmes and substantially optimising boiler energy con-sumption.

Calibration of temperature measurementIf the TH350 is not properly installed (e.g. installed near a heat source), temperature measurement may be incorrect or may not correspond to the actual temperature. To solve this problem, it is possible to calibrate the reading to within ±3°C and in so doing optimise comfort and consumption.

Easy and complete daily/weekly 3-level pro-grammingWith the TH350, temperatures for any time of any day of the week can be programmed in a simple and intuitive manner. Just a few buttons are used to set the hourly temperature while at the same time providing constant on-screen monitoring of programming progress.

16 - AUTOMATIC ADVANCE

+3°C

–3°CPI

This function (only in heating mode) allows the thermostat to automatically adapt the system start-up time such that the desired temperature is arrived at in a timely manner. The advance is calculated as a function of the difference between the measured and set temperatures together with the data stored on the characteristics of the instal-lation and the building. The maximum advance available is three hours.

Example of operationAt 7.00 am the thermostat is set for a temperature of 20°C. If before 7.00 am. the ambient temperature is below 20°C the thermostat will advance system start-up so as to obtain 20°C at 7.00 am. Thanks to the self-learning mechanism, the programmable thermostat memorises the thermal parame-ters of the room in order to be more precise in reaching the temperature on subsequent days.

18 - PROPORTIONAL-INTEGRAL +3°C

–3°CPI

PROGRAMMINGThis type of adjustment allows the programmable ther-mostat to reduce system running times as the room tem-perature approaches the set temperature, thus substan-tially reducing consumption while maintaining excellent comfort. It is possible to select from among three preset programmes depending on the type of system to control (P1, P2 e P3). Alternatively programme P4, which is com-pletely manual, can also be selected (Table 1 on page 39).

Integral proportional adjustment has the advantage of permitting the management of a wider variety of systems with respect to the setting of the thermal differential. It is especially suitable for underfloor and radiant systems. The difference between the set temperature and the ambient temperature is just a few tenths of a degree. This allows for more precise adjustment.

Proportional/integral programme selection (refer to table 1)18.1- Make sure that the unit is in MANUAL operating mode.18.2- Press button P three times (fig. 70). On the display, in place of the hour, will be displayed and, in place of the indication for the temperature, there will appear .18.3 - Pressing buttons (forward) or (backwards) (fig. 72) causes the integrated proportional control system to be selected. On the display, in place of the temperature, will appear (fig.73).
