Special sessions for oral presentations by postgraduate studentswill be provided. Based on academic merits, the organizingcommittee will offer a limited number of fellowships for selectedpostgraduate students, who are planning to present an oral or aposter paper at the Conference. Applicants should send amotivation statement, a short CV and a letter of recommendationfrom department head or supervisor (not more than two A4pages) together with a list of publications and an additional copyof your presentation abstract to the Conference Secretariatbefore June 15, 2007. You are encouraged to present your recent scientific findings asa contributed paper. The contributed papers will be acceptedeither for oral or poster presentation, depending on thepresenter’s choice. It should be noted that, however, in case ofexcessive requests for oral presentations (due to insufficientlecture rooms), some papers may have to be rescheduled fromoral to poster presentations.

Two to three poster sessions will be arranged, depending on thenumber of poster presentation. The size of a poster for posterpresentation is 90 cm (horizontal) x 120 cm (vertical).

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee of the 9th Asian

Conference on Analytical Chemistry (Asianalysis IX), it is my

privilege to invite you to the Asianalysis IX Meeting which will be

held from November 4 to 8, 2007 at the Ramada Plaza Jeju,

Jeju island, Korea. The conference is a continuous effort by

analytical scientists in the Asian and Pacific region to open

channels for not only exchanging scientific ideas in all aspects

of analytical sciences, but also extending friendship among

participants from various countries. Previous meetings were in

Tokyo (1991), Changchun (1993), Seoul (1995), Fukuoka

(1997), Xiamen (1999), Tokyo (2001) jointly with the

International Congress on Analytical Sciences (ICAS2001),

Hong Kong (2004), and Taipei (2005).

This conference is especially meaningful because The 39th

Convention of The Korean Society of Analytical Sciences will be

held jointly with The 9th Asianalysis so that the Korean

analytical scientists are able to attend both meetings.

You are cordially invited to participate in the conference and to

contribute oral presentations or posters on selected topics listed

in the website (http://www.asianalysis2007.org/). The selected

papers presented at the conference will be published in a

special issue of Analytica Chimica Acta.

We look forward to greeting you in Korea in 2007.
