Carried Reports: Shed Report Ed reported that the Sprite &Truck are up and running with small issues cleared up. Ed offered thanks to Rob Bell for all his work and attention to these projects, this also seconded by Barry not only to Rob but also Ed. After all the rule is- Has to be 2 to tango in the shed, nobody to be on their own. A ‘stripped’ truck part could only be procured from U.S. AJ’s Apprentice acquired part from ‘Dad’, in Toodyay, so a big “Thank You” is to be sent. The Truck inspection can now be organised. Garry Campbell/Jennifer Hunter of Stoneville, with a 1973 Honda K11 750 restored/concessional & a 1976 Holden Monaro, unrestored/full.Garry has been a motor bike & car enthusiast all his life and wishes to meet I& participate in outings with others who also enjoy similar interests. Michael Thompson of Northam with a 1960 Holden FB Ute, unrestored. Michael has long had a passion for vintage vehicles and has been involved and assisting the Club for the last year. General Business: * Shire of Northam have had Staff changes, particularly with Staff we have been liaising with regard to our building issues. We have yet to determine where we stand. * Mesh on Back Windows needs to be put in place, need a busy bee to do this before next school holidays eg after the next meeting, 17th June, please Members? * Rob Bell & Ed Fawkes were applauded by Peter Prytulak and many thanks expressed on behalf of the Club for all their countless hours of work expended on the Club Sprite and Truck. They have been on show again recently, and their performance matches their colours.
*Raffle for the Swapmeets. After more research, Peter Prytulak proposes it be 1,000 tickets @ $5ea. Sources for prizes include items from local businesses Things, Red Dot, Mitre 10, AutoPro. Spot prizes ie beer wine, soft drinks using numbers on the day flyers, not acceptable with alcohol as this contravenes hire of venue. Moved: Barry Bristow-Stagg.. Scnd: Theo Bekkers.. That with an advance, Peter can go ahead with the Raffle, with more research needed re spot prizes. Carried *PA System – There are systems available. Peter to check with the Shire re possible avenues. *Flags/Banners re another teardrop or a strip type needed to hang from top of eg a gazebo, more visible. Ed & Sylvia to check into suitable strip type locally, in Metro area. Buried Treasure
Young boys in California were digging in their yard when they came across something big, something metal, and something very valuable. A buried Ferrari! The boys discovered a 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS buried just a few feet under the soil. The family, which had just moved into the house, called authorities who roped off the area. A team of investigators unearthed the very valuable rare car. It was obvious that someone had planned on returning to retrieve the vehicle. It was crudely mummified with towels in the vents and tape on many of the seams however the windows weren’t fully closed causing a lot of interior damage. Using the VIN number it was possible to trace the last owner. It was discovered that the owner had hired thieves to steal the car and dump it in the ocean so he could claim insurance on it. However the thieves buried the car with the intention of returning later to pick it up. The buried Ferrari was auctioned off after being on display with the incredible story being reported across the nation. It was subsequently purchased by a young mechanic who owned his own shop in California for $9,000.
The Ferrari has now been fully restored by its new owner.

This area of the Oval featured a Plane & Helicopter DroneB The Drone Plane displayed its uses in modern farming practicesB During the day our Fars pursued a moving circle in this area Rhilst the Drone videoed our movementsBB A feR photos Rere also takenB Next to us Re had the Incredible Freatures from YorkB Jell behaved togetherB But then some are Movie Stars *MeanRhile one could take a farm tour by bus around the Muresk livestock & production systems, or a Ralking tour of the facilitiesB The Fonference room included displays of the Universities, conference and accommodation facilities, training, agriculture & precision control technology & tractor simulator demonstrationsB The Homestead

Hi Avon Valley Vintage Vehicle Ass., For 2017 the All Ford Day returns to it's Old Stomping Ground of Steel Blue Oval in Bassendean. The show also returns to it original last weekend in October, so that is October 29, 2017. Put that day in your calendar. Entry forms will be available from June 1.
