EMA will be our guest speaker. Call in your
reservation to your circle leader or to Shelby Smith by noon
on Friday, February 5.
Remember that the March 14 luncheon will be our
Silent Auction FUNdraiser. Donated items may be left in
the Lay Ministries Office inside the church office. All
proceeds go toward UMW Missions.

CREDO Confirmation Class Continues This Sunday! All 4th, 5th & 6th Grade students are invited to attend. CREDO Confirmation Class will meet on Sundays, from January 10 through March 13 at 10:00 am in room 106.
Hymns for Hunger Concert and Food Drive
Sunday, March 6, 3:00 PM, in the Sanctuary An ecumenical choir and area musicians from local
churches will be conducted by Russ Waits. They will
present a collection of sacred music and well known
hymns sung by the congregation. The concert is open to
the community and free with the donation of canned and
non-perishable food items. The “Hymns for Hunger”
Food Drive will benefit the Etowah Community Food
bank. Monetary donations will also be accepted for the
Etowah Community Food Bank.
Shrove Tuesday Dinner, February 9 at 5:30 PM New Orleans Fare — $8.00 per person (Kid’s chicken finger plate is available for children only, please.) Advanced tickets: Single Tickets $8, Family of 3-$20 or Family of 4-$24 All proceeds will support the Local Benevolence Fund. Sponsored by The Men at the Well.
The Children’s Ministry will host Pancakes and Pajamas during the Sunday School hour on Sunday, February 7 @ 10 AM in the Gathering Room for children 2 years through grade 5. Wear your pajamas to church, enjoy a pancake breakfast and participate in an interactive Bible Story. Don’t miss the fun!
Spring Friends of the ELC Consignment Sale
Plans are underway for the Spring 2015 Friends
of the ELC Consignment Sale. The sale will run
Friday, March 4th and Saturday, March 5th.
Registration for volunteers and returning
consignors will open on Sunday, Feb.7 at 2 PM.
Registration for new consignors will begin on
Sunday, Feb. 14th. Please go to www.fumcgadsden.org/elc to

Friends of the ELC are looking for volunteers of all ages. Men,
women, and youth are needed on all days of the sale from setting
up the gym, to helping consignors unload their items, to sorting
items on racks and tables, as well as break down after the sale.
