This Palm Sunday we celebrate God’s love that is manifested by the support we give to those in the world who are less fortunate than us and face daily hardship. People like Daniel from Uganda who appeared on the Trócaire Box in 2012 aged 9. Daniel is now 15 and doing well in school. Easter Week Ceremonies – Askea Church Adult Penitential Service – Tuesday 27th March during the 7pm Mass in Askea Church. Penitential Service in Carlow Cathedral - Wednesday 28th March at 7.30pm Confessions also available from 11am to 12 Noon in Askea Church. Holy Thursday - Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7pm. Adoration at the Altar of Repose after the ceremony will end at 9pm with the Divine Praises. Good Friday – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. “Seven Last Words” – We gather in Askea Church at 7.15pm in preparation for the walk to the Cathedral for Prayers around the Cross. Holy Saturday - Easter Vigil begins at 9pm. Easter Sunday- Mass at 9am, 10.30am and 12 Noon.

St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny will be holding it’s the annual
remembrance ceremony for families who have been bereaved by the death of their child through miscarriage, still-birth, in early infancy or childhood years. This ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 11th in St Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, Kilkenny at 7.30pm. While we issue a special invitation to families who have been bereaved during the past year, this ceremony is for all families who have been bereaved, regardless of how long ago. Refreshments will be available for everyone after the ceremony in the parish centre adjacent to St Fiacre’s Church.
