UNBOUND is ministry of healing in which a trained prayer team prays with individuals to assist them in overcoming the spiritual obstacles they encounter in their path to Christian discipleship and take hold of

greater freedom in Christ.

We use an approach to deliverance and healing prayer developed by Neal Lozano. The prayer model’s focus is on an individual, while the prayer leader deeply listens to their story and heart. It is a safe, loving, eff ective prayer model that helps people to respond to the good news of the Gospel.

Our purpose is to assist you in responding to Jesus Christ, who off ers every person the possibility of growing ever more deeply in spiritual freedom.

To learn more about the ministry, or to make an appointment, please call Anita Colahan at (215) 804-9569, or email [email protected]. Questions may also be directed to Fr. Marc Capizzi at (215) 968-2262 x15 or via email at [email protected].

When I arrived at Saint Andrew on January 30, 1989, as the Administrator of the Parish, I was still working at the Archdiocese in the Cardinal’s Offi ce for Human Relations and Urban Ministry. He sent me here for a temporary stay to manage the Parish during a diffi cult time. He did not relieve me of my work in his offi ce, so I, like many others, traveled I-95 back and forth from Newtown to Philadelphia. I grew in empathy for the many who had to commute every day for their jobs! Quite frankly, it was the most diffi cult time in my ministry as a Priest.

Eventually, I was named Pastor on December 30, 1990.

As time would evolve, this assignment has become one of the best in my 54+ years of Priesthood! Admittedly though, these past 10 months have been very challenging. I worry every day about the health of all of our Parishioners. It was so sad to have celebrated the Sunday and Daily Masses without a live Congregation.

Livestreaming has become an innovative way to bring the Mass into your homes, but it lacked signifi cantly the intimacy of gathering together to worship as a Faith Community. Now that we have partial attendance, it is better but still not complete.

So what can I say about Christmas this year? Just this: you have been an outstanding model of courage for me and the other Priests and Staff , and faithfulness to Our Lord and Savior whose birth we will soon celebrate again this year.

Just as Mary and Joseph and the Infant Jesus suff ered deeply the discomfort of “No place for them in the Inn” at the time of His Birth, and the fright of being sought out by King Herod who wanted to kill the Baby Jesus, we too are given the Graces to endure our present time of fear, anxiety, and loss of loved ones to the virus.

Like Mary and Joseph, we can embrace the Child, whom the Father sent for our salvation, with trust and hope in a happier and more joyful future soon to come. So my beloved people of Saint Andrew Parish, let’s join with each other and hold fast to the vision that God is in charge: that He will help us endure bravely and confi dently in these moments of anxiety and fear.

Let’s be sure to share a “virtual” hug and wish each other a very Happy Christmas! May His Peace be in your hearts!

Your Pastor,
