Thank you
Thank you for loving Jeff. He was
such a kind spirited person and
God blessed him with people like
you. He loved you and in return,
you gave him true friendship. In
life, it is so important to mean
something to someone and to
make a difference in the lives of
others. That was our Jeff. He
would give all that he had if he
thought it would help someone
else to be better. We were
blessed to have him for this short
time. I prayed for someone to love me and be devoted to me. Jeffery was my blessing; a
husband and a committed father to our girls. As you remember him today, laugh, love
and hold his purpose in life within your heart. We
thank you for being here with us as we Celebrate him.

A
of Life Celebration
Mr. Jeffery Len Tait Nov. 1, 1972 - July 5, 2017
Jeffery Tait was born on November 1, 1972, in Repton, Alabama. He was one of three children. Jeffery was a typical “country boy” who enjoyed the simplicities of life; a happy home, family, laughter, good friends, and the
results of hard work. He mentored youth of all walks of life. Anyone in need of guidance, advice or a good conversation, found Jeff to be warm and genuine. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of the Valley Park Baptist Church in Montgomery. A provider for his family, Jeff was employed with the Office of District Attorney 19th Circuit as a Case Office for the Helping Families Initiative where he worked with “at risk” youth in Autauga County. He loved his job. Jeff always made a way to attend events for his girls, cheering loudly from the sidelines, motivating and encouraging their competitive spirit. Equally supportive of his wife, he champi-oned her through many endeavors and together they nurtured their young family. There was never a question that Jeff’s family was the most important part of living his life. Jeff was a graduate of Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, AL. He later received his Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from Alabama State University, where he was on the football team and served as an athletic trainer. His time at ASU afforded him the benefit of true friends that he looked upon as brothers. Jeff was a “Fred Sanford” type of guy, who loved searching for that jewel amongst the rub-ble. Good with his hands, he proudly built, restored and created household items that he could boast about. When it came to politics, Jeff could debate with the best of them and would spend hours watching MSNBC. He was informed and involved. Although ASU Football was his passion, he also enjoyed golfing, going to the beach, and loved the Dallas Cowboys and Auburn Football. Jeff now rests in the arms of our Savior. He wouldn’t want us to be sad and when we remember our blessings in him, we shouldn’t be. In time, our hearts shall heal, but our memories of him will remain forever. Jeff’s memory will be cherished by his wife: Tarica Lamar Tait, his daughters: Sydney Lynne Tait and Jalyn L’Rae Tait all of Montgomery, AL; his brothers: Brian Keith Tait of Montgomery, AL and Johnnie (Laura) Tait of Brewton, AL; one devoted sister: Lisa (John) Millender of Excel, AL; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Cornelia (David) Richard-son, Sharon (Reggie) Banks, Frank (Carole) Banks, Claudette Lamar, and Hor-ace Lamar all of Monroeville, AL; Lucy Banks of Greenville, AL, Essie Baker and Kenneth (Patricia) Lamar both of Montgomery, AL, Latisha (Terrence) Loveless of Tuscaloosa, AL, Charles (Queenetta) Banks of Normal, IL, Clarence (Ida) Rich-ardson of Orange Park, FL; a special great aunt: Annie McGadney of Detroit, MI; an uncle, William Buddy McMillian of Pensacola, FL; many nieces: Brooklyn, Kelsey, Kellon, Malyric, Shanaveia, Bridgette, LaShondra, Princess, and Carlie; nephews: Keinan, Tyrin, Tromaine, Demetrius, Franklin, Kennedy, Brandon, Chaz, Logan, Collin, and Bryson; many other loved relatives, youth, teammates, colleagues and friends.
“You probably don’t know me, ma’am, but my name is JaMarcus Albert and I just wanna say I’m sorry
about what happened to Mr. Tait. He was really one of the only people who believed in me an d I loved him like a father. He helped me get my anger under control and be a better person at life. Mr. Tait was an
absolutely extraordinary man.”
We love you “Uncle Jeff”
