The Story Behind Mannatech

Make a DifferenceIn 1994, Mannatech founder Sam Caster had one profound desire —to create a business that would make a real difference in the world. This new research and development company began to quietly assemble a team of scientists and marketers. Their goal was to develop cutting-edge technologies to make that dream a reality.

Amazing DiscoveriesIn 1996, Mannatech’s first Chief Science Officer, Dr. Bill McAnalley, made the discovery of a whole new category of plant-based nutrients called glyconutrients. Mannatech formulated one of the world’s first glyconutrient products, called Ambrotose® complex, and has received more than 50 patents worldwide on its formulation or technology. Our Ambrotose complex, formulated with the Manapol® aloe vera extract, became Mannatech’s foundational product based on Real Food Technology® solutions for integrative health support.

In 2007, Dr. Rob Sinnott extended Mannatech’s proprietary product base through the formulation of PhytoMatrix® caplets, the industry’s first vitamin and mineral product produced from natural and plant-sourced ingredients at nutritionally effective levels.

Ambrotose and PhytoMatrix have become Mannatech’s foundational products that deliver the best wellness solutions available.

DestinyIn 2010, Sam helped introduce a new social entrepreneur business strategy to Mannatech that linked its international consumer base of products directly to the needs of the world’s most at-risk children. Through the Give for RealSM program, Mannatech Associates can now empower caring individuals all around the world with the ability to improve their own health and finances while supporting the world’s most vulnerable children.

• Joined Mannatech in 1998 as CFO, to help ensure corporate financial accountability, strategy and transparency

• Manages Accounting, Finance, HR, Facilities and IT operations

• Created a global framework to manage and integrate the company’s financial operations and seamless international compensation plan

of Directors chose not one, but two, highly qualified leaders
