The Lamplighter Lighting the way so others will see Jesus
2017
A Word From the Pastor
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do
everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him
(Colossians 3:17)
For the people of Wesley, worship is not just something we
do on Sundays, it is a way of life. We have persons who
live the faith of Jesus and serve as representatives of Christ
throughout our community!
Recently, we had many members of Wesley, as well as,
students and faculty from ETSU join together to pack
30,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. These nutritious
meals will help children who are hungry. These meals were
paid for through the generosity of the people of Wesley.
In a time in which many are going through difficult times
the people of Wesley offer the Hope of Christ.
May God bless you as you worship, grow, and serve!
God Bless
Gerald

World Communion Offering
Your offering today helps an international or national student with the cost of their continuing education. These are students who might otherwise be overlooked or forgotten.
Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” And because the people of The United Methodist Church believe that all of God’s children have been created and gifted to build the kingdom Jesus ushered in, we’re resourcing them to do just that. Because of your giving on World Communion Sunday, the most powerful tool to change the world is in more hands.
You can make your check to Wesley and put World Communion on the memo line and place at the communion rail or place in the offering plate.
