Battle San Jaconto The battle of San Jaconto was won by the Texans .Santa finally gave Texas their independence . But when Santa got released he told Mexico that they still own Texas .

Independence of Texas Texas had some problems like: Mexico did not believe that Texas got independence .Native American’s land being taken from them . So they are fright for it . And to re-new the government .

Sam Houston 1st president of Texas

When the election was made Sam Houston became president of Texas . Mirabeau b. Lamar was the first vice president of Texas . And Stephen f. Austin as secretary ,but not for every long Stephen died on December 27, 1836 at the age of 43

Austin became new capital of Texas

Well Lamar became president . He want a large city with schools. He was wasting money. And he changed the capitol to the waterloo but is now called Austin because of Stephen F. Austin

Texas set aside $2 million for public education

Lamar wanted schools for Texas . So he got land and now he needs money. 2 millions dollars !!!

Ruterville college opened

Texas has it’s first ever college . The Ruterville college was build in 1840. Lamar wanted schools for people . Because do you want a retard running your government or a smart person . You would pick the smart one .

Sam Houston returned to Texas presidency

Well after Lamar got most of the money gone and native Americans to hate Texas Sam Houston came back to presidency .
