The exhibition was officially opened at 11:00 AM on April 18, in the lobby of KORME Exhibition Centre. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from KAGIR Association, DAMU Entrepreneurship Development Fund, Astana City Administration, and ITECA LLP.

Advertising for VisitorsOn April 18-20, several projects were carried out at the same time: HOREX (Everything for Hotels, Restaurants and Supermarkets), InterFoodAstana (Food Industry), FranchExpo (Franchising Exhibition and Conference), andCleanExpo (Cleaning Industry). Visitors and exhibitors found this combination very convenient as all events share the same target audience and are related to small and medium business.

An advertising campaign was carried out to ensure effectiveness of CleanExpo 2012.

The following was used: • outdoor advertising: marquee in Kostanai, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Petropavlovsk, Karaganda and Pavlodar• radio advertising: Russkoye Radio (Karaganda, Pavlodar, Astana)• advertising in newspapers and specialised magazines of Kazakhstan and the CIS• advertising on web sites• a press conference on and the day before the exhibition opening to present the three projects • PR publications in specialised magazines after the exhibition• fax and e-mail campaigns 2 weeks before the exhibition, promo campaigns in supermarkets, business centres, restaurants and bars of Astana• SMS invitations to the exhibition

EXHIBITION AGENDA

Workshop by Chistaya Polosa Group (Yekaterinburg): Partners from Russia. New Products and Opportunities. Yekaterina Ulyanova, Business Development Director, Vladimir Chimarov, Sales Manager.

For the first time, CleanExpo Cleaning Industry Exhibition featured a contest:  The Best Laundry Stain Remover and Desk Service 2012. The contest had 2 stages: a written test and receipt of an item.The contest jury consisting of representatives from the Central Asia Cleaning Association (CACA), a sponsor, and the Russian association of cleaning enterprises, evaluated contestants by speed, professionalism, and equipment. All contestants received certificates from the exhibition organiser ITECA LLP, and gifts from Aziya-Vyazma LLP. Contest Results:Kristall Laundry (Astana) took the 1st place in the Best Laundry Stain Remover and Desk Service 2012 Contest held during CleanExpo Central Asia. The winner received a valuable award from KAZTEN and the CACA Cup. The contestants included the CACA member laundries:- DEN (Almaty)- Lavanda (Zhezkazgan)- Pyatnyshko (Almaty)- Kristall (Astana) 

NIGHT RECEPTION

The night reception was organised on Day One at the RIXOS PRESIDENT HOTEL ASTANA. The reception agenda included award of the certificate to DAMU Entrepreneurship Development Fund for its invaluable contribution to organisation of the exhibition and conference.
