THE 2015 GET-TOGETHER CHAMONIX - MONT-BLANC - FRANCE - 19 - 21 SEPTEMBER WHY THE GET-TOGETHER? Op-eds, research publications and even newsletters such as The Monthly Barome- ter are useful, informative and at best insightful; but they can only go so far... They often provoke the desire to ask a question, to challenge an assumption, but they can’t reply and they can't argue! Only personalised quality gathe- rings respond to this need. They are rare and therefore increasingly valued: in our ever-more digital and virtual world, the need for face-to-face interaction has never been greater. In the sometimes overwhelming complexity of our “hyper-connected”, fast-paced world, it is apparent that the answers to such questions as: “What to do?” “How to invest?” “Where and when?” “With whom?” “For which purpose?” is best sought in unconventional places. Our Get-Together offers just such a place, giving our guests time to pause and reflect, and affording them physical exposure to diverse individuals and ideas, based on the “strength of weak ties” and serendipitous encounters. THIS YEAR’S GET-TOGETHER The Get-Together amounts to an ideas fair: it addresses a broad variety of issues, with (almost!) always a practical spin in terms of investible ideas. This year, the Get-Together has no overall theme, but rather three determining threads: HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMME? Friendliness and informality define the gathering, which com- bines knowledge and mindfulness. All sessions are structured as conversations to allow maximum interaction between our guests. Even though all conversations are kicked off by an introduction to the issue provided by a prominent thinker or practitioner, everybody is a speaker. We count on you to stir the pot! WHY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES? First and foremost because they are fun and a great way to meet old friends and make new ones. Furthermore, they will benefit the quality of the meeting - new research in neuroscience makes it abundantly clear that exercise and mindfulness provide unparalleled stimulus; physiologically rendering our brains more ready, willing, and able to learn. Lastly, it would be a waste not to take advantage of the exceptional natural environment that Chamonix offers! In symbiosis with our outside activities, Deep Nature will offer complimentary spa treatments to anyone wishing to benefit from them (within the Congress Centre and throughout the duration of the Get-Together). Outdoor activities are planned as indicated, but they may change depending on the weather. PROGRAMME PARTICIPATING PARTNERS Economic and geopolitical outlooks Technology and disruption Wellness

THE 2015 GET-TOGETHERCHAMONIX - MONT-BLANC - FRANCE - 19 - 21 SEPTEMBER

WHY THE GET-TOGETHER? Op-eds, research publications and even newsletters such as The Monthly Barome-ter are useful, informative and at best insightful; but they can only go so far... They often provoke the desire to ask a question, to challenge an assumption, but they can’t reply and they can't argue! Only personalised quality gathe-rings respond to this need.

THIS YEAR’S GET-TOGETHERThe Get-Together amounts to an ideas fair: it addresses a broad variety of issues, with (almost!) always a practical spin in terms of investible ideas. This year, the Get-Together has no overall theme, but rather three determining threads:

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMME? Friendliness and informality define the gathering, which com-bines knowledge and mindfulness.

Keynote address Congress Centre

The four big trends that matter Room Michel Payot Seven years after the global financial crisis economic recovery in the advanced economies has been weak, and emerging markets are now slowing down.Is the problem supply, a huge debt overhang or do we face secular stagnation? What is left of serendipity in the digital age? Room Isabella StratonSerendipity - the raison d’être of our Get-Together - is all about making improbable connections and linkages that favour the development of new relationships and new ideas, including investible ones.
