Cancellation Policy Your cancellation does not become effective until a WRITTEN notice of cancellation has been received.

Carolina Tours understands there may be unforeseen conditions which arise that make it necessary to cancel your reservation. Reasons may range from

family emergencies, or personal illness, to just a change of mind. Regardless of your reason for cancelling a tour, your cancellation results in a costly

process of letters, long distance calls, e-mails, accounting adjustments, refund checks, etc., plus loss of money due to non-refundable tickets, lodging and

empty coach seats. Consequently, the following cancellation policies are necessary.

1. Full refund if you find someone to take your place on the tour.

2. Full refund if Carolina Tours finds someone to take your place on the tour.

3. You will not be eligible for a full refund or for credit on future tour if monies have been spent on your behalf that are non-refundable to

Carolina Tours. Examples: travel protection coverage, airline tickets, show tickets, lodging, transportation costs, etc.

4. The timing of your cancellation may result in no refund, transfer or credit of monies paid to Carolina Tours.

5. If the tour you are cancelling has purchased travel protection insurance on your behalf, all monies you have paid are non-refundable by

Carolina Tours. You may apply for a refund by filing an insurance claim or by finding someone else to take your place on the tour. Should you have to

cancel for an insurable reason, your insurance policy should cover all of your payments (except cost for insurance policy). The cost of your insurance

policy is non-refundable. For further information, please see the Travel Insured website (www.travelinsured.com). Remember, Carolina Tours must have

your written notification of cancellation to begin your insurance claim. Refunds, credits and transfers of monies paid on a tour may not be made until 2-4

Our ride will be an 18-mile round trip into the corner of the Hoosier National Forest. On the way

you will pass by sites such as an 1850’s log cabin and through the 2200-foot long Burton Railroad

Tunnel. Our next destination is LeClaire, Iowa and this riverboat excursion will be the highlight

of our tour. We will board the Twilight Riverboat early in the morning, traveling all day on the

Mississippi. There will be entertainment, plus breakfast, lunch and dinner included. We will

spend the night at the Grand Harbor Resort in Dubuque, Iowa and then re-board the Twilight for a

return trip to LeClaire. There, we will re-board our coach and start heading south,

arriving in Nashville for our 3rd riverboat excursion, dinner and entertainment aboard the

General Jackson as she travels on the Cumberland River. 3 Rivers! 3 Riverboats!

Route 66. We’ve explored Route 66 out west, now you will have a chance to drive

along the first part of the ‘Mother Road’, plus enjoy a 3 night stay in Chicago.

We’ll see where Route 66 began, enjoy an architectural tour, a cultural ‘tasting’

tour, and even a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan. As we travel Route 66, we will

‘Look for Lincoln on the Mother Road’—our search will take us to the Lincoln

Presidential Library, the Lincoln Home Natural Historic Site and the Lincoln Tomb

Historic Site. Spending 2 nights in Springfield will also give us the opportunity to

leisurely explore this section of Route 66...have lunch stops at Route 66 iconic

restaurants like the Cozy Dog Drive In and the Palm’s Grille Café, photo stops at

the giant Railsplitter Covered Wagon, and, of course, a visit to the Route 66 Museum. We will also enjoy a 2 night stay in St. Louis

where Route 66 started winding westward! ‘Must see’s’ will be the National Museum of Transportation and the St. Louis Car Museum.
