Welcome to your Festival July 2018 This year we celebrate the Silver Anniversary of Hounslow Older People’s Festival. Yes, the Festival has been providing older people in the Borough with activities, events, the opportunity to learn new things, meet new people and make new friends, for 25 years. We launch the Festival 2018 with a fantastic musical afternoon organised in partnership with the Musical Museum. This will be a great start to a fun-packed July for older people in Hounslow. It has now become something of a tradition for the Festival to provide an event for grandparents and grandchildren during the first week of the school summer holidays. This year grandchildren and their friends will be welcome to join us on the seaside trip to Bexhill.

As always there are opportunities for older people to get together and do new things. This year we will be providing arts and crafts workshops in Redlees Studios, a gadget surgery at Heston Library and the opportunity for creative older people and groups from Hounslow to learn more about the Talent Show the Trust will be organising later in the year. There will be coach trips to Bexhill, a National Trust property and the beautiful RHS Wisley Gardens. Use your Freedom Pass to join us on visits to the British Library, the Royal Opera House and Erno Goldfinger’s house, 2 Willow Road.

Hounslow Older People’s Festival would not exist without the contributions made by the many local organisations and individuals in the Borough that support us. I would especially like to thank the Musical Museum for providing the Festival Box Office again this year.
