The 350 Post 1

From the Desk of Susan Gearey

M ore provocative,

sensual, and origi-

nal; it has been twenty-five

years since Tiffany has

launched a new designer

and it has hit Tokyo, New

York, Beverly Hills and

done well; in addition, it is

set to arrive in San Fran-

cisco late 6/30/06. Tiffany

is very fortunate to be

working with such an icon

like Frank Gehry. To some

he is a hero and an inspira-

tion but most know him as

an architect.

Having the opportunity

for our employees as well

as our customers to own

such brilliant pieces is like

owning a part of history. If

you are into being differ-

ent, looking edgy, and feel-

ing sexy then it is going to

be Frank Gehry all the way.

If this is not something you

are ready to experience yet

then there are other lumi-

nous collections that are

comparative with his.

TIFFANY RELOADED

The 350 Post has taken a hiatus for awhile due to many factors but I’m so

pleased to see that it’s back and looking so terrific, thanks to Danielle and every-

one that has contributed to this first edition.

First of all our huge success last year was due to everyone’s hard work and contribu-

tions from all the departments in the store. It is a collaborative effort and we would

have not seen our tremendous growth without the support from each of you and from

each area of the building. Our financial success along with a beautiful renovation is due

to all of you. I salute you and thank everyone who made it possible. I know we will see

continued success in 2006!

Recently, I have taken on additional responsibilities with the oversight for the Pacific

region in addition to the Northwest stores. This is an exciting time and a wonderful op-

portunity that I’m looking forward to. In addition to the existing 4 stores in Hawaii and 2

in Guam, we are opening a new store on the Big Island in the King’s Shops in Kona this

November. I leave in a few days to visit these stores for the first time and I’m looking

forward to learning about each market and how they differ, understand their client

base, and get to know their teams. I will be sure to report back on my trip in the next

edition on the 350 Post.

I have been asked what advise I would give any aspiring employee who is looking to

advance within our company or store. I can’t imagine a better place to begin or con-

tinue your working career than with Tiffany & Co.; we have so many opportunities open

to us. My advice would be to have patience, excel in your area of expertise, do what you

can to learn every aspect of your job and be sure to talk with your manager or supervi-

sor and express your desire to do more. Nothing gives me more pride and pleasure

than to have one of our team move onward and upward, it is always bittersweet to

see one of our group move away but knowing that they are starting a new chal-

lenge is exciting. I know you all join me in wishing Amy all the best in her new

position in Nashville, Grand Ole Opry here we come!!!

It is better to be safe and be aware than be surprised. David

Kingsley has provided us all with the awareness on not only what

happens in the store but also what goes on outside. He sent us

all an e-mail regarding the crimes that have been committed

within a ¼ mile radius of 350 Post Street over the last 60 days;

crimes that are vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles, however

there are a few assaults and robberies. Below there is a web site

that you can access to find out information about crimes in your

neighborhood that have happened in the past month or two. If

you have any questions, concerns, or you would like to discuss

any of the information presented please feel free to contact David

Kingsley at any time.

Security Just A Friendly Reminder - Please remember to put things back where you found them.

- Fill out all machine and hand engraving orders in its entirety;

meaning checking all the necessary boxes.

order form. It makes processing the paperwork go smoothly.

- When closing your terminal please put your waybills in nu-

meric order.

Machine engraving takes 5 business days, yet you should

enter 7 to allot for weekend days.

- You must get customer service’s approval first before proc-

essing any rush orders. A $25 RUSH fee must be charged for

each item in addition to normal engraving charges.

Q: Where were you when you first heard about your promotion and how does it feel taking on

such a big role? What advise would you give to an aspiring employee and what will you miss most

about the city?

A: I was in New York meeting with our Regional Vice President, when I first heard about the

news I immediately called my family and friends. It has been eight years for an opportunity like

this to come by and here it is. Taking on a whole new market and introducing something phe-

nomenal to the people of Nashville, some of whom have never stepped into a Tiffany’s, is excit-

ing. The community of Nashville is known to be a huge volunteering town so I definitely look for-

ward to having the chance to be involved with some of the volunteering organizations. In addition

to this new role it also gives me the opportunity to instill and share with my staff everything that I

have come to learn and grasp knowledge of… Continued on pg. 4

Tennessee Has A New Star In Nashville

TCO with George

T here is lots of excitement in the air

for spring/summer 2006 in both

the world of fashion, jewelry and home

décor! The new trends are totally domi-

nated by exuberance, expressed by a

sun drenched explosion of colors. Lots

of bright colors including liquid tur-

quoise, sunny orange and orientalist

reds can be found in extra-fluid, ultra-

lightweight fabrics. Think about suggest-

ing a unique pair of colored beads from

Paloma Picasso to compliment your cli-

ent’s new spring/summer outfit. Gold is

the perfect accent to the bright colors

found in the newest fashions, and a

treasure chest of options to suggest to

your clients exists in our store. Think

about suggesting the fun and whimsical

earrings in our yellow gold Fringe Collec-

tion to wear with the newest Capri pants

and long “bohemian” fluid printed skirts

which will abound over the next few

months. Our Atlas and 1837 Collections

offer so many wonderful and unique op-

tions to pair with a tailored business suit,

especially the wide Atlas Cuff to add that

“WOW” factor to any look.

Just in time for the beginning of summer,

we will launch the newest and most ex-

citing introduction in the world of Fash-

ion Jewelry this year – The Frank Gehry

Collection. Think about modern looks

and understand that the focus for our

client will be completely on the jewelry…

the clothes need to be minimal, modern

and tonal. With this collection, we take a

different approach to fashion…the

clothes are a backdrop to the jewelry

instead of the jewelry accenting the

clothes! Suggest our client wear a sim-

ple black cashmere V-neck sweater to

really show off the modernist Gehry pen-

dant in silver.

Menswear is highly influenced by beach

sports and a hippie ethnic touch. Col-

ored stripes for tops, cropped pants and

arabesque screen prints on tee-shirts

exemplify the trends for spring/summer

2006. Think about suggesting the Surfer

Necklaces and Bracelets from the

Paloma Picasso Groove Collection to

compliment these looks. When not at

the beach this summer, suggest a new

pair of cufflinks from Frank Gehry to

really make a statement in the office!

Lots of unique shapes and interesting

colors can be found in our hand-blown

glassware from Seguso in Italy. These

pieces are exclusive designs for Tiffany &

Co. and add a dramatic and fresh look to

that summer cottage at the beach or

wine country our clients go to each week-

end! For the client who prefers to stay at

home during the summer to avoid the

crowds,…

…and to mainly lead by example.

The advise that I would give to

someone who is looking to grow within

the company is to keep working hard

and to not be too surprised on the op-

portunities that come your way. Some

of the opportunities that you feel may

not seem what you are looking for

might turn out to be great in the long

run. With that said I say farewell to my

friends and staff, to the waters under-

neath the Golden Gate bridge, my

beautiful neighborhood, and it is with

mixed emotions that I leave San Fran-

cisco.

“Well...I can do that.”

T hose who have worked with Patsy, old and new , became acquaintan-

ces then friends. It is a mixture of sweetness and sorrow that we all

celebrate Patsy’s retirement and her thirty-five years of loyal service

to Tiffany’s. Leaving a familiar place and starting a new life is wonderful and

can be also filled with many questions (i.e. What is there to do today? Where

do I feel like going? Should I travel somewhere this weekend?). Some say that

life begins after retirement but the future is yet to be discovered by the one

and only Patsy Myers.

Respectable chalcedony,

chastity of heaven,

delicate,

oval, smooth, whole,

reborn,

I sing of your fiery modesty,

the sincere hardness

of your homage in the serene ring

of the young girl; you aren't

the extravagant hell of the ruby

or the celebrity of the emerald.

You're more of a street stone,

simple as a dog,

solid in the continuous

traffic of water,

close to the wood

of the fragrant forest;

the earth's

root child.
