Moving into our new building has made us

think harder about how we can better serve

our clients. Human Coalition, a pro-life

organization, has done studies showing how

women that feel happy and calm are more

likely to want to keep their children instead of

abort. When they redesigned their clinic

counseling rooms to create a more calming

environment they saw a 36% increase in

effectiveness at counseling for life! Data like

that is hard to ignore! It has become clear to

us that the furniture in our counseling rooms

is in need of an update. We see clients in

these rooms daily and making them feel safe,

calm and comfortable is our goal. When the

atmosphere of a counseling room alone can

increase the effectiveness when counseling for

life by 36%, we consider that a win!

Open House Recap Over 150 volunteers, supporters, neighbors & community members joined

us on March 18th to witness the transformation that has taken place at

840 Maus Ave. All who celebrated with us were given a tour of our new

space. Your support over the last year enabled us to show off our finished

material goods rooms, spacious lobby, and our life-changing ultrasound

room. However, many of you at our open house also learned about how the

furniture in our counseling rooms are still very much in need of updating.

Thank You for Growing With Us!

As the banquet was drawing nearer, our guest count kept rising and we

continued to add more tables to fill Barton Hills Country Club to

maximum capacity. Thank you for helping us spread the word about this

event and achieve record attendance & donation levels! Most

importantly, we are still reflecting on the powerful words Abby Johnson

shared with us about the importance of transformational ministry, which

our Growing Together Program is helping us execute. Even the most

active defenders of life in our community were inspired by Abby’s words

Growing Together!

It’s no secret that we have desired to offer group educational opportunities to our clients for

quite some time. Many of our clients struggle with isolating needs beyond that which one on

one peer counseling can address. Over the years, you have come to realize that moms would

greatly benefit from learning alongside other moms as well, and your generous giving has

allowed us to officially launch the Growing Together Program!

On April 18, four mothers joined us in our new lobby to learn

about the Buckle Up Program at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital,

while benefitting from on-site child care. Many of the mothers also

stayed after for the ShareGroup where they studied a Scripture

verse, had time to share things on their hearts and ask for prayer

requests. Moms have been enjoying our weekly Play & Learn Class

as well (pictured below). Stay tuned for more stories about our

growing educational opportunities!
