The 6th Sunday of

Easter 09 May 2021

9:30 & 11:15 Chapel Mass

Entrance Song (cantor)

Sing a new song to the Lord,

He to whom wonders belong; Rejoice in his triumph and tell of his power,

O sing to the Lord a new song!

Sing a new song and rejoice,

Publish his praises abroad; Let voices in chorus, with trumpet and horn

Resound for the joy of the Lord!

Join with the hills and the sea

Thunders of praise to prolong; In judgment and justice he comes to the earth,

O sing to the Lord a new song! O sing to the Lord a new song!

Introductory Rites

Greeting and Introduction

Gloria (cantor) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father.

Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Homily

Profession of Faith (all) APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, [BOW] who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. Prayer of the Faithful Response: Lord, hear our prayer

Liturgy of the Eucharist Preparation of the Altar (cantor)

There is no greater love, says the Lord,

Than to lay down your life for a friend; There is no greater love,

No greater love, Than to lay down your life for a friend.

You are my friends

if you keep my commands; No longer slaves but friends to me.

All I heard from my Father, I have made known to you:

Now I call you friends.

May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands

for the praise and glory of his name, for our good

and the good of all his holy Church. ╬

Sanctus (cantor)

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Mystery of Faith (cantor)

When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord,

until you come again.

Amen (cantor)

Amen, amen, amen.

Lord’s Prayer (all)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come, thy will be done

on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Sign of Peace

Agnus Dei (cantor)

Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. (repeat) Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,

but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Communion (cantor)

For God so loved the world,

God gave the only Son, So that everyone who believes in him

May not die, but have life. So much god loved the world, So much God loves the world.

The Word became flesh

and dwelt among us; Full of grace, full of truth

he made his home. He came to his own

who would know him not, Though all who behold him,

All who receive him Are called the children of God.

As Moses lifted up the serpent

So that all who looked to it might live, The Son of Man must be lifted up

So that all who believe, All who look top him May have eternal life.
