Hello Garden Railroaders,

Thank You Jim and JoAnne Gardner for hosting November’s meeting where everyone attending had a good

time. There was no end to the great dishes brought by members that accompanied Joanne’s delicious breakfast

pancakes. As it was a new railroad for us to see, we found it quite unusual in many of its features, including (but

not limited to) the Hell’s Gate Bridge. Auctions are always interesting and I hope that you all had a chance to

bid on the many buildings, rolling stock and odds and ends. We will have more cars from PCH once we sort out

all of what is stored at the Cardon Children’s Medical Center Railroad (CCMC RR). So if you didn’t get a car at the

auction this time, you’ll have another chance.

On a separate note, we would like all members to help out at a home that is open for the ABTO Christmas Open

House Tours. If you haven’t yet committed to helping out one of the host homes, contact me at 480-753-9690,

and I will put you in touch with those homes that still need help.

We will have a few children participating in the Christmas Open House Tours from the Boy Scouts of America

and Mike Temenski’s Mesa Library event. We have had some follow through with the parents who attended

the module event this August and those boys are interested in helping out at our COHT and they are scheduled

to help.

I would like to mention that we have some members who have some health issues at this time and I encourage

you to let them know they have your support and best wishes for them and their families.

We’ll see many of you at our annual Christmas dinner on December 2nd

at Monti’s LaCasa Vieja and I would like

to wish all members a Happy Holiday Season as we approach Christmas and the New Year.
