Adrian Carolea, previously sous chef at the Bear Hotel, has taken over as Head Chef at the Three Swans Hotel. With Alex Zompetti he is overseeing

an exciting programme of events during the coming months. The Hotel continues to offer its renowned fi sh and chips, using fi sh freshly delivered from Brixham market, and its fabulous Sunday roast using meat from the local butcher at 8 High Street. All dishes are prepared in house.

The Three Swans also offers a two course lunch for £13, as well as regular bar and restaurant menus. Food is served from Noon until 10pm daily with attentive service. There are real ales (including London Pride and local ales as well as a range of international lagers) and a fabulous wine list in bars and restaurant.

Wednesday night is Quiz Night, and on Sundays at 3pm there is a very popular meat draw. Every month there is live music either inside or outside in the sheltered eating area.

The Hotel has two bars, extensive outside seating in the garden and on the pavement, and the Cygnet Suite for functions, weddings and business meetings.

stocked mobility appliances. The shop was previously located at the back of the Pharmacy in

Hungerford Town Council’s highways and transport committee is seeking about 10 of the town’s best walks to include in future brochures and publicity as more fo-cus grows on Hungerford as a town for visitors. A prob-lem of lack of drop kerbs has been identifi ed for mobil-ity scooters. The mayor, Cr Martin Crane told Tuesday’s meeting he had sent Charlie out on his mobility scooter two years ago to survey the need and had not seen him since. -Are you there Charlie?

FATHER CHRISTMAS TO RETURNCr Alanna Wilson will be given maximum support by Hungerford Town Council’s highways and transport committee to bring back Father Christmas next Christ-mas. She told the last committee meeting that many had missed him this last Christmas. Chairman Cr Roger Thompson said Alanna would be given full support to see that Father Christmas was present and particularly at the Victorian Extravaganza.

Hungerford Town Council’s highways and transport committee is surveying the need for bus shelters in the town. Their fi rst question is

whether the bus shelters a needed. This question will be put to bus users.
