These designs include ethnic clothes to organic food, eco-homes to sustainable villages, cleaner industries to sustainable corporates, etc. The design process of sri demuni integrates concepts of mindfulness and right livelihood, vastu and fenshui, life cycle management to circular economy, etc. Currently, it is involved in community based sustainable design programme in Tsunami villages in Sri Lanka. Centre for Environment and Development (CED) is a legally incorporated non-profit making Non-Governmental Organization that operates as a think tank, concept builder, research & policy institute, watchdog and campaigner at local, national and international levels. Currently CED works on issues related to Sustainable Consumption & Production, Community Empowerment & Poverty Eradication and Consumer Protection & Social Justice. CED is based in Sri Lanka and works predominantly in Asia but also with other regions where it contributes to international events on sustainability and social justice. In 2004-05 CED teamed up with UNEP & CI for the project SC.Asia and formulated “The Asian Review in SC” and was a co-author of the UNEP published “Advancing Sustainable Consumption in Asia: A Guidance Manual”. Now CED has launched an “Asian Expert Resource Centre for Sustainable Consumption & Production”.“From Poverty to Sustainability” is practical action programme of CED to eliminate poverty using SCP tools and making CSR work through partnerships between communities, public authorities, private sector and the civil society.

ZOYSAManaging DirectorUchita is an internationally acclaimed thinker, writer and speaker who is a leader in mobilizing civil society for
public-private-partnerships and strategist for shaping policy for the global sustainability movement. He is the co-author of the famous “Oslo Declaration on Sustainable Consumption” and author of several books including the “Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption”. During the past two decades, he has travelled widely across the world contributing to the largest United Nations global conferences such as the Earth Summit (1992 in Rio de Janeiro), World Summit for Social Development (1995 in Copenhagen) and World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002 in Johannesburg) and over a hundred of other important international conferences organized by civil society, business and academia. He recently served as an Advisory Board Member and Head of Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption for “SC.Asia” a project coordinated by the United Nations Environment Programme, and was an editorial member of UNEP's "Advancing Sustainable Consumption in Asia: A Guidance Manual”. Currently, he is a member of the Sustainable Production and Consumption Systems (SPACES) International Working Group, Sustainable Consumption Research Exchange (SCORE) Scientific Advisory Board and also a member of the high level “National Advisory Committee on Climate Change” in Sri Lanka.
Prior to establishing D&D as an integrated communications agency , he was the Executive Director of Blitz Advertising, Manager of Rowland PR & Director of Strategic Planner at Bates Strategic Alliance and has extensive experience in CSR, PR, Strategic Planning, Creative Development and Client Servicing for large established companies and brands.
