Hey Lambs!

Summer is just around the corner which means LPEP is getting nearer!

We bet all of you are excited for our big event because we’ll get to know each other more. Speaking of getting to know each other, in this issue of The Ambassador, we featured the Marketing and Logistics Committee as well as the Documentations and Publicity Committee. Check out what both of our cover core have to say on being leaders on pages 2 to 3 plus fun facts you want to know about the members of the awesome committees on pages 4 to 8!

If you would rather want to know what’s on the minds of our co-Lambs about what’s the best thing of being part of this one of a kind family, then flip on pages 9 to 10. Also, we featured Lasallian events that we Lambs took part of in March. So if you want to see the pictures from the events, just go to pages 11 to 12.

And lastly, we are very proud to announce a new segment in The Ambassador entitled, Caption It! Do check it out on page 13.

That’s about it for now. We wish you all good luck for finals and may we all get the grades we want to achieve by April 19 (let’s just hope MLS will cooperate on judgment day).

Keep the animo burning!

HR Committee

OUR FAMILY.

Lamb?

It’s more than just an org.

It’s a family.

CUS:

Yana Callope never had doubts that she wanted to become Core. Now that she’s finally one, the DocuPub Core dishes out to us how the journey to coreship has been so far.

1. What does it take to be core?

To be core, you have to have passion for the org, a lot of time, effort, dedication, and willingness to serve. I had never had doubts when I was ALAC that I wanted to be core and I really think I was able to show that to the previous set of core.

2. How were you able to develop your self-confidence and great leadership skills?

My year as ALAC truly helped me to develop my skills as a leader. From the wallflower-type of FT that I was, I was able to open myself up and work towards becoming the kind of leader that I am now when I became ALAC: confident in my skills and firm in my beliefs.

3. What are your duties being the head of your committee?

Being the head of the DocuPub committee is a lot of work: I have to ensure that all events are properly assessed and that the AICs pass the cliniquing documents because at the end of the year all documents have to passed. When it comes to Publicity, I have to make sure that all designs work are not just aesthetically pleasing but also effective in terms of what we want to deliver as an org. That’s not all that I do, but it would be too long to list.

4. What advice would you give the ALACs?

To the ALACs, make sure you REALLY want this because if your heart is somewhere else, it won’t be worth the ride.

DID YOU KNOW?

Yana learned to speak Italianin just 3 months!

Yana is a blogger at heart. Check out her blogs at tristinalyana.blogspot.com and tristinalyana.tumblr.com Trust us, you’ll love it!

1. What made you want to be a core?

I wanted to be a core because I’ll have more opportunities, things to give, things I can contribute and things to learn.

2. What are the most challenging tasks you have experienced as MarkLog Core?

The challenging task is how I could push myself further. How I can motivate the Lambs to be more inspired and how to motivate the ALACs to be the next leaders. It is also challenging in sponsoring and the flows; however, that’s aside. It’s more on how to build better relationships with my co-Lambs as well.

3. What advice would you give the ALACs?

My advice for them is to keep smiling. Problems are there, but then it will also run away eventually. So keep going on. Just give their best in everything they do. I’m really proud of them. That’s all I could say to them.

4. What’s the best thing about being a core?

It’s everything. You know people look up to you and they expect a lot of you. It’s one way that I can strive harder for excellence, charac-ter, and impossible. Pressure makes me better because I know when people expect something of me, and then I just have to do it.

The man behind Marketing

He makes the phone calls and seals the deal. Thankfully, Fred Ho reclines his seat for a while and

opens up to The Ambassador about the perks and challenges of being Marketing and Logistics Core.

“People say that I’m positive. So I will stay

positive.”5. Any message for the LAMBs?

Let me thank all the lambs for doing well. LPEP is coming and I know we could all do it. You’re doing a great job. I mean, everybody is doing a great job. People say that I’m positive. So I will stay positive. Good job guys. Enjoy what you’re doing and cherish each moment you have. Keep the ANIMO burning.

Did you know?Fred dreams of having his own mallsomeday.

Fred owns the Sweet Spot, a waffle shop in Animo Canteen. We highly recommend Chocolate Overload. Make it a staple dessert every time you visit Animo ;)

What’s on your mind?ASK CORNER

The Ambassador asked a handful of Lambs some questions. Check out what they said!

What’s the best part of being in your

committee?

“In HR, it brings out the personality in you. Especially in my case, I am initially a quiet person. However, that all changed because I was in HR committee in my FT years.” - Nikko Bigtas

“The best part about being in the Marketing committee is knowing that all your efforts are always worth the time and exhaustion. Getting a “good job!” from Kuya Fred inspires me to work harder every time. Bonding with my Marketing buddies is also another great aspect of being in this committee. Being together develops teamwork which is essential in having a remarkable performance and finding good sponsors.” - Justine Ragos

“The best of part being a DocuPub Committee is that, I was able to exceed my limitations and somehow learn about time management because of different tasks that the committee should do.” - Justine Santoalla

What are you looking forward to in the

upcoming months?

“GRADUATION! (Finally)”- Renz Tarnate

“I’m looking forward to LPEP! It’s the “hardest” part of being a Lamb yet the most fun! I am excited to work with everyone and meet the new set of froshies :D”

-Gieanne Malimban

Who’s the prettiest/most handsome LAmb for

you?

“Everyone in Lamb is a whole package; that’s why we are the “front liners” of the University. But anyway, if you insist, she’s the HR Core for Lamb 2k11. Her name’s ate Alennie Lopez and she’s currentlystudying in Canada. She’s the perfect girl and the ideal Lamb. Brains, Beauty...you name it! Check out her profile pictures if you want. =))” - Tonch Tataro

“Kuya Fred! (Libreeee) Hahaha” - Erin Macatangay

“I’m THE prettiest Lamb ;)) HAHAHAHA!” - Glenn Lizares

The Ambassador | Page 10

“My best LAmb experience is when I had to dance the centennial dance everyday during LPEP. I suck at dancing but I never got tired during that time because I

was dancing with my co-LAmbs and orientees.”- Donna Nacario

“:My best Lamb experience was the whole experience at all, because in LAmb I learned a lot of things that I will be able to apply in my life. In Lamb, I gained

new friends to share the laughs and the sorrows of my life. I just really think that my whole stay in LAmb is the best experience that I have.”

- August Calderon

What was the most embarrassing moment/OMG

moment for you during the recruitment process?

“I would say GS2 since I was asked to host a game show like Wowowee, which went against my personality. I tried to act like the hyperactive hosts there while I screamed throughout the period. I forgot about being poised just to become a Lamb :))” - Trish Gascon

“My most embarrassing moment was when I serenaded Glenn during the GS2. After that, I was so shy that I cannot look at him directly anymore!” - Kristin Pinpin

“When I did an interpretative dance of “Good Girls Gone Bad” in front of the Core and the ALACs.”- Donna Nacario
