Government

Amity Party“We are only as strong as we are

united, as weak as we are divided.” –J.K. Rowling

Values and Beliefs • The Amity Party believes in a respectful

society. • We believe no one should be denied health

insurance, job opportunities, scholastic opportunities etc., because of race, gender, sexuality, religion, age, etc.

• We believe everyone has a right to be heard.• We believe in justice and equality. • We believe in protecting our people is a major

priority. • We believe in less government dependency,

and more self efficiency. • We believe people are entitled to basic human

right.• We believe in the care of our fellow human

beings.

National Defense

• The amity party seeks to ensure a strong unified military.

• We believe in protecting US citizens by avoiding foreign affairs as much as possible.

• We believe in fighting only if it self-defense.

• We do not believe in terrorism on innocent people.

International Relations

• The Amity Party believes in unity and the fellowship of mankind.

• We believe in securing strong trustworthy relationships with our allies.

Criminal LawWe believe in eliminating laws that ban marijuana, and regulating marijuana the way tobacco and alcohol are maintained, by doing so this will create jobs and economic opportunities. We do believe in regulating marijuana just as tobacco and alcohol are regulated. This will reduce corrections and court costs, and state and local governments benefit from a brand new tax revenue.

Criminal Law

• We believe in the right to self defense, similar to the Libertarian’s view on self-defense. The Amity Party believes individuals should be entitled to own firearm.

• The Amity Party believes that criminals should be fully responsible for their actions, and should be held accountable for property damages, medical bills, etc.

The Environment

• We believe in a healthier, greener environment.

• By creating more renewable energy source jobs, we will kill two birds with one stone by boosting the economy, and creating a greener society.

• We also believe in the protection of wildlife, this includes establishing much more sanctuaries and reserves for endangered animals, after all we took their land, it’s the least we can do.

• Anti-pollution laws are also a strong belief in the Amity Party.

Marriage and Divorce• We Amitians believe marriage and

divorce should be between two people, not the government.

• By eliminating government from marriage, homosexual couples will be able to freely marry who they please without having to wait for same-sex marriage laws to be passed.

• We believe marriage should not be defined, just as we believe love should not be defined. It is what you make it, not the default definition of what the government tells you marriage is.

• We believe if two people want a divorce there shouldn’t be long dragged out rules and guidelines. Divorce should be as simple as marriage.

Health Care• We aim to eliminate insurance

companies dropping individuals due to preexisting conditions, or conditions that arise while under a certain insurance plan.

• We believe no individual should be denied coverage based on gender, sex, race, income, marital status, age, etc.

• It is safe to say health insurance costs are through the roof. By putting in place a plan to eliminate the overpriced cost of insurance, more people will be covered.

Taxation • We believe in cutting taxes, and

establishing more private organizations.

• By establishing more private organizations, we can prosper in more than just the economical aspect of society.

• Instead of putting money into the government, money would go towards private organizations that would do a better job at what they do then the government.

• This would allow people to give back to every day people just like them, not the wealthy greedy government.

Immigration • Immigration is a growing problem in America. • The Amity Party seeks to change immigration

laws.• We believe that people coming to America to

make a better life for their families and themselves is not a crime.

• However, we do believe in keeping current U.S. citizens safe, and we are aware that foreign countries do not have the best health care, or immunizations to provide for their people.

• We do not wish to abolish immigration laws, but regulate them in a positive manner.

• The Amity Party believes in equality, so by establishing new immigration reforms, like providing immunizations to immigrants coming into the U.S., we allow people to come here without spreading foreign diseases, and allow immigrants an equal opportunity at life.
