Language is the way to utter message in communication.
Conversation is a form of interactive, spontaneous communication between two or more people.
A basic rule of turn-taking is only one speaker speaking at one time.
Interruption means that the next speaker cuts into the current speaker’s ongoing utterance.
Studying interruption later can be applied in the classroom,
especially in teaching speaking which deals with expression of how to ask and give an opinion.

According to James and Clarke (1993:232), the research on interruption deals with instances in which one person initiates talk while another person is already talking.
According to Murata on Li (2001:269), there are three categorization of interruptions. They are cooperative, intrusive, and other interruptions.

• The data were classified into 3 types of interruption. From 34 data which are taken by the researcher, 6 (17.65%) data belongs to cooperative interruptions, 19 (55.89 %) data belongs to intrusive interruptions, and 9 (26.45%) data belongs to other interruptions.
• The interruption can be applied by teachers in teaching speaking. Teachers can use the examples of interruptions in American sitcom The Big Bang Theory to teach students how to interrupt in order to express their opinion. Furthermore, Teachers can teach their students to use it in giving opinion during debate in speaking class. Interruption is able to show the student’s enthusiasm during teaching learning activity.
