As we plan for the 2017-2018 school year, we have an important position to fill on our Local School Council. The Local School

Council (LSC) is designed to bring parents and the community together with teachers and school administrators to foster

mutual respect for each other’s concerns and share ideas for school improvement. We are currently seeking nominations for

one LSC Parent Representative.

election once, thus serving a maximum of 4 years on the committee.

in the school who are also parents or guardians of students enrolled in the school are excluded from serving as parent

representatives.

If you are interested in running for the Local School Council, please email Laura Webb at [email protected] by May 1,

HOMER’S HEADLINES:

Dear Parents, This is a reminder for those who have medication in the clinic. All medication must be picked up no later than 2pm on Friday May 26, 2017. Any medication left behind will be destroyed per FDA and County protocol. If you have a child with a medical condition, new forms are required for every school year. All forms are available on the Big Creek Elementary Web site. Go to Support Services, click on School nurse, click on “Forms”. Please download the appropriate forms and take to your child’s MD to complete over the summer. If your child will require medication next year, if prescription, you will need the MD to complete the “Request for Administration of Medication Form” as well. One form is needed per each medication. All forms and meds can be turned in to me during Open House before school starts. PLEASE REMEMBER- STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CARRY MEDICATION and all medications must be signed in with me by a Parent/Guardian. Parents of Rising 6th graders, if you have been contacted by me regarding expired immunizations, please turn them in to me by April 28th. Students will not be given a schedule for 6th grade until immunizations are up to date and a current 3231 turned in. If you have not heard from me, that means that your child’s immunization records are up to date. Enjoy a Safe and Memory filled Summer!
