• Canada is the third largest US Royalties and License Fees export country (Ireland, Japan, Canada, UK Switzerland) ;
• But Canada is not among the top five largest US Royalties and License Fees import countries (Japan, Switzerland, UK, Germany, France);
• The US has US$84.3 billions surplus in foreign trade cash flow from Royalties & License fees;
• This is about 2.6 times of the total Canadian foreign trade deficit (CAD$36 billions).

• Synchronized with USPTO patent database to provide “no-older-than-7-day” information about Canada’s patent competitive advantage in the US market;
• Until March 3, 2015, there are 5404 Canadian US patents owners (2441 of them are in Ontario) tracked by this database;
• This database tracks information about who they are, where they are, what they patented and if they are getting stronger or weaker;
• Provided synergy on economic related issues.

Canadian Patent Landscape in the US Market
• Ontario is the largest US patent hub province;
Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo CMA, Markham Ottawa-Gatineau, Drummondville and Saskatoon are the top US patent hosting geographical areas in Canada respectively (normalized by population).
