HOW DO YOUR PRODUCT USE OR CHALLENGE CONVENTIONS AND HOW THEY REPRESENT

SOCIAL GROUPS OR ISSUES? I did not followed the conventions of the

romantic film, as in almost every romantic film there is a need of one male and female showing the romantic bond-together which is portrayed by holding of hands, kiss and other romantic gestures such as looking into each other eyes. These are stereotypical forms and conventions repeatedly used in media products related to romance.

However, In my short film I have Challenged these conventions by not showing this kind of romance except one or two scenes.

Moreover, I challenged convention by shooting my film on one location.

Moreover, films based on a love story are shown very happening, colorful by following this convention I shot my film in natural light.

I also developed the convention by having titles such as production company,director,main actors and the title of the film itsel,this makes the sequence more believable and legitimate to real media product.

My film represent particular social group in our society which are teenagers and young adults(girls) and people who are interested in love stories.

My audience will be attracted to this film because it is representative of young people and their stubbornness.

Moreover, variety of shots and camera movements were taken such as close shots, over the shoulder shot, wide shot. developed quick and slow cuts and jump cuts somewhere which was the convention I challenged.

There is no dialogue just background music. I think this is effective in a short film. From the music you can tell the genre and it gives you idea of the atmosphere, but with the lack of dialogue it creates curiosity.

The idea of this film came from one of my friend real life story.

HOW DO THE ELEMENTS OF YOUR PRODUCTION WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE A

SENSE OF BRANDING? To create the sense of “Branding” I used a

tag line which is “Love Always Make It’s Way” which is on my postcard, my video and my web page.

Other than this, I have used same color (red) as a sign of love in video, postcard and the webpage.

Moreover, its unique selling point (usp) could be the female actor (sadia fatani) as she is really pretty and many people all over the world watch films just because of a pretty girl of a handsome guy.

As my film is romantic which is produced from a small budget and contains amateurs actors so the media which would be suitable for distributing my film, through internet such as on YouTube or face book. The reason why I choose these mediums to distribute my film because the big six conglomerates would might not promote this film and as a beginner this would be best platform. However, distributing it through social media would be beneficial and will attract more audience as it is the first film of my production so starting through internet would be a good idea to attract larger audience market and to create a name .

My final product has a target audience of teenagers, young adults, couples. This targeted audience can be identified by seeing the characters in my film, by their dressing as well as their height.

The both characters are ordinary people, as they are of middle class so they are relatable as most of the audience belong to middle class.

The both characters are two young which is the usp(unique selling point), as this would attract young audiences.I also thought that I could attract the audience by creating a viral which can be distribute on mobile

phones, social networking sites etc. This Is because teenagers liked to be involve in latest internet viral and know everything about it, if person will know about this then his/her circle of friends will also

know and this will help to attract my target audience

HOW DID YOU INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGIES- SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND ONLINE IN THIS

PROJECT? I believe I have learnt how to use the

camera’s better along with tripod and how to control each frame from the different camera shots better. I have also learnt how to edit my product so its look like legitimate like the real media products in the market. I learnt how to cut scenes how give transitions as well as how to take deep shot, third of rule, over the shoulder shot,closeup etc. I learned that when editing,sometimes,less is the key to look like more professional also learnt how to edit music(soundtrack). . I also learned about the costumes, makeup, lightening effects and location. . My skills of research have been developed through out the year.

I also learnt how to use blog. I also learnt how to make postcard, how to use photo editing software. Along with this, I also learn to make web page.
