On this unique Artist in Residence river cruise, you will get to explore the culture, history and art of the tulip in the famed historical gardens of the Low Countries. With onboard lectures and demonstrations, you will experience directly the history and cultural impact of the tulip. Since 1999, she has dedicated her work to botanical art. Over the past 13 years her watercolours have been exhibited in England, Canada, numerous ASBA international juried exhibitions in the United States and the 12th International Exhibition at the Hunt Institute, Pittsburgh. In 2012, the Bermuda Society of Artists hosted a successful solo exhibition of her paintings titled Bermuda Botanica. On a regular basis Margaret authors and illustrates articles for Canadian Wildlife Magazine. She has also completed 11 designs for coins released by the Royal Canadian Mint. Since 2005, Margaret has maintained an active teaching schedule, offering workshops in graphite, colored pencil and watercolor in a number of countries including Canada, USA, England, Bermuda, Italy, South Africa, Spain, and Morocco. Her work is found in the collection of The Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation, Kew Library Collection and numerous private and corporate collections around the globe. Margaret is also a member of the Florilegium Society of the Royal Botanical Gardens, in Sydney Australia. Margaret is an engaging and influential teacher who brings a lifelong passion for her work to her instruction.
