Budd Hopkins and Linda Cortile have recently been subjected to a new and heavy barrage of baseless,

and viciously personal, debunking attacks orchestrated by Carol Rainey. Carol's efforts have been

supported and encouraged by Jeremy Vaeni and Jeff Ritzmann of Paratopia, who have dedicated

multiple radio shows to sowing doubt, hate and suspicion about Hopkins and Cortile through the use

of hearsay, omission, lack of fact checking and ridicule.

Budd's health is extremely fragile, which makes the timing of these baseless attacks all the more

sickening. To prove how unfounded these attacks and inaccurate statements are I have constructed a

detailed, well referenced, point-by-point analysis and rebuttal of Carol Rainey's article Priests of high

strangeness: co-creation of the "alien abduction" phenomenon; as well as addressing and disproving

various other statements that have been made by Carol and others to hurt or discredit Hopkins and

Cortile.

I hope you appreciate these facts, and most importantly, I hope this information will help you make

up your own mind about this unfortunate set of circumstances.

Update Notes

Since the article's release in early March 2011 subsequent minor updates have been made to the

article. These include correcting small typographical and grammatical errors as well as correcting small

errors in the transcriptions of the audio recordings. The quotes obtained from *.mobi format kindle

books have also been updated with their specific kindle location coordinates. The audio recordings

that were transcribed and used for my article were contracted out and transcribed by an independent

third party transcription firm known as http://www.transcribe-now.com/

http://www.transcribe-now.com/ did terrific, meticulous work in an efficient, expedient manner.

They performed an invaluable task when it came to transcribing each of the lengthy audio recordings.

Naturally, due to their time and workload constraints, as well as the immense difficulties that go with

any lengthy transcription tasks, there were a few small errors of interpretation about what was

being stated in some of the audio recordings they were transcribing, errors, which when I came across

them, were corrected. None of the errors that were subsequently corrected in my article change or

nullify any of the points contained and proven within it.

As with all my work the facts, and the evidence numerically linked to those facts via the appendix,

allows the reader to check for themselves the provability behind each of the statements made in the

article.

In order to prove that I contracted Transcribe-now to transcribe the audio recordings used in my

document I have attached screen dumps below of the emails I received from them with the finished

transcription *.doc format files.
