Currently: 14 UNIs with ERA-Dialogues on-going with Universities and 3 with Research Institutions

Aims:

• Support Universities in the European Research Area (ERA) on a strategic level

• Communicate current and future developments in the ERA

• Translate and Evaluate EU Programme-portfolios and (strategic) Networks/Initiatives

• Support strategies on internationalisation

Aim:

• Long term strategy development with/for companies (SMEs and big companies in a changing portfolio)

• Strengthening EU Funding expertise in companies

• Increase number of successful EU projects

Implementation:

• Selected companies (set of criteria) with a high potential for H2020 get high-end support

• 1 main contact person in FFG for selected C3 company

• targeted information

• national/regional funding/services are included

Results:

• until now 40 companies supported

• Success is measured on a yearly basis

• C3 companies are fond of the service

Some basic prerequisites

• an innovative and agil structure of NCP at national level

• close cooperation (information flow, training, exchange, etc.) with responsible DGs

• Close cooperation with colleagues from national funding programmes as well as with PD;

• increasing need for strategic intelligence (Cockpit view)

• increasing need to learn from each other (NCP Academy)

• good balance between individual support for applicants and (more strategic) organisational support
