The Award-Winning Tribute to Motown and R&B

Webster defines Spectrum as a “series of radiations arranged in regular order” or a “continuous sequence or wide range.” This could not be a more appropriate description of the award-winning group Spectrum, which draws upon the talent of four radiant voices and diverse personalities to form a first class vocal quartet. After spending six stellar years recreating the sound and style of the Four Tops in Las Vegas’ multi-million dollar production shows American Superstars and Legends In Concert, the group has developed the versatility to credibly cover the music of acts from the Platters to the Temptations and from Boyz 2 Men to Bruno Mars. It is this versatility that has propelled them to the status of headlining their own shows in which they perform stirring renditions of the all the best cover tunes.

In addition to corporate and private parties, Spectrum’s credits include European and Australian tours, 100’s of headlining performances aboard Royal Caribbean, Princess & Norwegian Cruise Line ships, a Doo-Wop to Soul Review at the Hollywood Palladium, as well as more than 100 performances with symphony orchestras throughout North America. Voted Best of Las Vegas on two separate occasions, their award winning show ran for 4 years in succession on the Las Vegas Strip, ending only when the Mirage-MGM Boardwalk closed its’ doors . They were selected to receive the Vegas Entertainment Consumer’s Living Legends Award for Excellence in Entertainment. Most recently Spectrum joined the ranks of Las Vegas Legends Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis

Jr., Liberace, Rich Little, Siegfried and Roy, Elvis and many more when they were awarded the 59th Star on Las Vegas’ Walk of Fame. Spectrum performs in Las Vegas, throughout the nation and around the globe. Check their website for scheduled performances.

Spectrum’s credentials, collectively and/or individually include starring in no less than six major production shows, on the Las Vegas Strip and internationally; appearances on numerous television shows as special guests; featured appearances in motion pictures; starring roles in equity theater; and special appearances at professional sporting events, (National Anthem).

The group boasts four incredible singers, each with the voice of a solo artist, who combine their voices and dexterity to create the angelic harmonies and deft choreography that have become trademarks of Spectrum. The members of Spectrum consist of vocal virtuoso Jeron Lovings of Oklahoma City, Chicago-born musician and versatile entertainer Pierre Jovan, David Prescott the silky-smooth, soaring-voiced first tenor from Rochester, New York and lastly, singer, producer and group founder Cushney Roberts, from East Orange, New Jersey, who left the life of a Princeton-educated corporate engineer and cut his teeth in the casino lounges in route to becoming a well-respected Las Vegas showroom entertainer. Let’s just say this is a group of well-mannered, college-educated, world-traveled veterans of the entertainment business, who will entertain you!

Born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois, Pierre spent his early years composing music and developing his own unique sound and style. Jovan’s successful pursuit of a formal education resulted in his earning a Master’s Degree from Columbia College Graduate School, Chicago. Jovan’s personal headline and featured guest performances include appearances at ” A Salute to Miss America” at the Blackstone Theater in Chicago, the Mrs. United States Beauty Pageant at the Rio Hotel and the American Heart Association Gala at the Paris Hotel, both in Las Vegas. In addition, attendees of Las Vegas’ Official Academy Awards VIP Party, “Oscar Night America” at Spago’s, Caesar’s Palace, were treated to the multiple talents of Mr. Jovan during his special appearance there.

Jeron Lovings II was born in Oklahoma City and began singing at the tender age of 3 in his family’s church in Arbeka, Oklahoma. His father, a minister, didn’t allow for much music in the home other than gospel; the only exception being Sam Cooke, the gospel singer turned soulful pop crooner. Lovings landed a position with a production company that provided cruise ships with entertainment. This gave him the opportunity to sing everything from Pop and Opera to Motown and Broadway as he and his fellow performers were responsible for co-producing many of the shows in which they performed, traveling the globe for two years.

David began singing at the tender age of 4 years old. As a teen, his father and two older brothers formed a group called “The Prescotts”. David later left the group and began singing with a group calling themselves the “Sounds of Motion”. David’s positive reputation followed him and referrals led him to join the group SPECTRUM; and he hasn’t looked back since. Prescott keeps himself busy with solo projects, writing and producing original music, acting in movies such as Rush Hour 2 and pioneering the unique venture of providing late-night, romantic, super-stretch limo parties complete with live entertainment on board. His ultimate dream is to share his God-given gift, (his voice), with the world.

Cushney Robert’s remarkable voice has taken him from New York’s “21 Club”, to Chicago’s Pump Room, to headlining on the Las Vegas Strip. A versatile singer who’s musical roots and interests have ranged from classical & symphonic music, to pop, R&B and jazz; and he’s had the opportunity to perform them all. He later joined the show-band Edy Gainer & Dezire and toured the Reno/Tahoe circuit for several years before leaving to form his own group. SPECTRUM was formed specifically to portray Motown’s Four Tops in American Superstars’ & Legends in Concert’s Las Vegas tribute shows, which they did with great success for 6 1/2 years. The larger vision for SPECTRUM is presently being pursued and realized with the very popular tribute to Motown and R & B.
