2012, the company threw

several 150th-anniversary

parties featuring a Cuba

theme.

The Bacardi Legacy Cocktail

Competition

Sponsored by BACARDI rum and the Greater Boston

Beverage Society, the first round of the annual Legacy

Cocktail Competition took place at the Boston Cocktail

Summit in October 2012. The three-day Summit kicked off

with a regional Legacy Cocktail Showcase, which featured

inventive new cocktails from top local bartenders.

Competition

For the last four years, BACARDI rum has supported

innovation and creativity in the spirits industry by inviting

bartenders to participate in regional competitions across the

United States and around the world. The winners of these

competitions, including those from the Boston Cocktail

Summit, will go on to compete at the national level at the end

of February 2013. The Legacy Cocktail Competition's global

finals will take place in Puerto Rico in April 2013.
