16 residents cruised on the River Harmony with Grand Circle Travel down the “Great Rivers of Europe”, October 17 – November 1. Residents enjoyed visiting the Netherlands,

Germany and Austria. The boat, staff and tour guide were exceptional, not to mention the fine cuisine on & off the ship! It was a cruise to remember!

Fishing ClubOn Tuesday, November 25th, 6 members of the Heritage Bay Fishing Club traveled to Lake

Ochoochobee for our first ever group chartered fishing trip. The group enjoyed great success with Jim McNulty, Jim Parisi, Joe Jonas, Tom Elmore, Craig McConnall, and Jerry Harbak. Catching and releasing 147 Largemouth Bass. The fish ranged from 2-8lbs. Some

Bowfin and Garfish were also caught and released. More Trips are scheduled for the season and we would encourage any interested

fisherman & women to join the club.Next Meeting: Tuesday, December 9th

On Tuesday, November 25th there was a tournament held for Joerg Burghardt’s 50th birthday. The Theme was USA vs. Germany! Thank you to all those who came out!

New to the Golf Shop

Howie grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York. Having been introduced to the game of golf at age 10, he played and worked at various Greater Rochester courses throughout his high school years, including Reservoir Creek, Bristol Harbour Resort and

Ravenwood Golf Club.

Howie went on to play four years competitively at Division III Elmira College, Elmira, New York. He captained the men’s team two years and claimed three victories. Howie remained

active during the offseason, traveling and working four years with the Elmira men’s ice hockey team. In 2012, he completed his Bachelors degree in Political Science.

Howie entered the PGA of America as an apprentice during the Summer of 2014. His tutelage commenced under his former instructor, one of the premier golf club fitters in

Western New York at Shadow Pines Golf Club. His interest in and knowledge of Trackman ball flight

technology, complemented by opportunities to learn the business aspect of golf has afforded Howie the chance to serve Heritage Bay members during the winter months both

inside and out.In addition to competing and improving on the course, Howie looks forward to other

hobbies such as hunting, stock investing and spending time with close friends and family. We feel very fortunate to have Howie as a member of our Heritage Bay Golf Staff. Please

feel free to visit the golf shop and say hello.

Men's InterclubDue to the increased interest in playing on the Men's Interclub team we are going to have two qualifying periods to make the team. The first period will be from Monday, December

8th thru Sunday December 14th. you must notify the pro shop before you play so that your round will be your attempt to make the team. Only one attempt per person is allowed.

please play by the rules of golf and all putts must be holed out. we will fill 8 to 10 spots on the team from this period.

The second period to qualify will be from January 5th 2015 thru January 11th 2015. You can make a second attempt to qualify for the team if you did not qualify on your first

attempt. The balance of the team will be filled from this period.

Your signed scorecard, attested by another, non-family, Heritage Bay member; must be turned in to the Pro Shop upon completion of your round.

The following are the Florida State Golf Association Rules for Eligibility: Player must be on Heritage Bay official handicap roster as of January 1, 2015.

Player needs to have a minimum of 10 scores at Heritage Bay in their record for 2014. Players handicap index must be 18.4 or less.

Other Heritage Bay Team Requirements: You will be Required to purchase a team shirt from the Heritage Bay Pro Shop.

Member's Account will be charged an Interclub Fee of $7.00 when you play, either at home or away, to cover the cost of food & snacks that we must provide when we host the

matches at Heritage Bay. Pay the prevailing Interclub cart fee to the host Pro Shop. Matches will begin on Thursday afternoon beginning January 8th thru February

12th Good Luck!

Ladies golf Results

NINERS’ GOLF ASSOCIATION GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITYCongratulation go out to the NINERS’ Ladies Golf Association who have adopted the Guadalupe Social Services Center located in Immokalee during the 2014-15 season.

Recently, the Niners’ raised enough money to purchase 12 wooden highchairs to be used at the Guadalupe Soup Kitchen, which feeds over 125 people on weekdays

The Niners’ also have put together a Giving Tree for some very needy families in Immokalee, providing them with new shoes, clothing, gifts and food gift cards in order to

provide help for these families during the holiday season.

Also, some Niner’s and their friends went to Guadalupe Social Services Center and helped put together over 150 Thanksgiving food bags for needy families. Others will be going back

out to Guadalupe Social Services Center before Christmas to prepare holiday bags for over 500 needy families.

Tricia Yeggy, Program Director, Guadalupe Social Services is very grateful for all that Niners’ and their friends are doing to help the needy in Immokalee.

Fitness & Spa There are many guests coming in alone without any knowledge of the fitness center policies and procedures. We ask that you accompany your guests as well as have them review the

policies before coming in to workout which will prevent any inconvenience.

Fitness Center Policies All members, transferees and their guests are entitled to the use of the Fitness Center.

Hours: Staffed 8am-3pm Monday –Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8am-1pm. Card access is 5am-10pm daily.

1. Use of the equipment should be in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.2. Use of the Fitness Center and equipment is at one’s own risk. The Club accepts no

liability for injuries.3. No glass or any kind is permitted in or around the Fitness Center. No food is permitted in

or around the Fitness Center.4. Children under the age of 16 are NOT permitted to use the equipment at any time.

5. Individuals planning to use these facilities are urged to consult their physician and have an exercise program arranged.

6. Fitness/walking shoes and proper attire – no bathing attire – must be worn when using the fitness equipment. Sandals, flip-flops, etc. are not allowed.

7. Use of the equipment should be limited to thirty (30) minutes when another individual is waiting to use that particular piece of equipment. Equipment should be cleaned after each

use. Cleaning cloths are available in the Fitness Center.8. Please check the bulletin board in the Fitness Center for scheduled classes throughout

the year.9. Report any abuse of facility or faulty equipment to 304-1948.

Swimming Pools & SpaMembers, transferees and their guests are entitled to the use of the community swimming

pools during the hours of dawn until dusk, unless otherwise prohibited. There is NO lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at one’s own risk.

Florida State Board of Health Rules concerning swimming pools must be followed. 1. Persons with open sores, cuts or communicable disease may NOT enter the pool.

2. Animals are NOT allowed in the pool areas.3. Persons must shower before using the pool.

4. Bathing suits or proper bathing attire only. No street clothing, such as cut-offs, denim, etc. are allowed.

5. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.6. Babies may use the pool with appropriate swim diapers.

7. Use towels when sitting on the lounges and chairs.8. No running or loud noises are allowed in the pool area.

9. No glassware or food is permitted in the pool area.10. No inflatables, other than swimming aids for small children, are allowed in the pool. No

balls or Frisbees are allowed.11. Persons using radios, iPods or other music devices must use earphones.

12. Pool depth is measured in feet. NO jumping or diving is allowed.13. Emergency telephones (direct 911) lines are located at each community pools.

14. Roll down umbrellas before leaving the pool area.15. Children under the age of 3 are not allowed in the spa.
