Wow! It’s April already.Time for the new Elks year tostart at our Lodge. First Iwould like to thank Gary andhis officers for all their hardwork, determination andleadership during the pastyear. They did a great job. I would also like to thankthe co-chairs of our HouseCommittee, Lisa and JackTravis for all their creative
and innovative ideas. This dynamic duo isstepping down from the committee due to workcommitments. Thank you for a job well done!They will be missed. However, the good news isthat our new House Committee Chair is KellyBarber. You’ve already seen her at the Lodgehard at work. CHAPLAINS REPORTPlease keep the following members in your
prayers, as they continue to recover from serioussurgeries or illness:
Jack Huss. Charlie Sewell’s wife, Jayne, iscurrently in Beebe hospital.
Shirley Hutton and Muriel Pfeiffer are bothhome following cancer surgery and have nowstarted Chemo therapy.
Roni Kirshman is recuperating from foot surgery.Pat Brennan Manley is recuperating from a
complete knee replacement.Bob Freed, a long t ime member, is
recuperating from a broken shoulder.Michael Lento (Lisa), has just had a 7 way
heart bypass.Bob Sheppard is back in Beebe Hospital with
kidney and lung problems.Rita Gillin, sister-in-law of Jim passed away
on St. Patrick’s Day.Paul Holton’s Father-in-law had heart surgery
and received several stents.Please keep these folks in your thoughts and
prayers. Most of the treatments are no fun. A wordof cheer or a brief visit will go a long way to helpcheer and heal. If you wish to send a card,addresses can be obtained at the Lodge.
Our sincere sympathy goes out to the familiesof Aubrey (Chick) Marcus, Jim Sprinkle, and BettyDavis. May your loved ones rest in peace!

We want to thank Gary Eckenrode, 2016-2017 Exalted Ruler, for all of his support andassistance throughout the year.
A very special thank you to Lisa and JackTravis for an amazing 8 months, as they co-chaired our House Committee. We will miss themon the Committee but know they will bevolunteering throughout the year.
Our House Committee members are busypreparing for a fun spring and summer schedule.April 1st, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Surf and Turf, withKaraoke by Shermanater.April 2nd, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Installation of 2017-2018 Officers.April 11th and 25th Cheesesteak night 5:30 pm -7:30 pm, with Karaoke by Shermanater.April 19th Wednesday night dinners return, 5:30pm - 7:00 pm, the menu will be Meatloaf with sides!Tickets will be going on sale April 5th for our May13th Bull Roast with entertainment by the GlassOnion!!
