COMPEAU’S TRAIL SNOW MACHINE TRIP12/29, 0800-1700Cost: $75/person.The staff at the Outdoor Recreation Center will be making a snow machine run on the Compeau’s Trail in the Chena River State Recreation Area. The trail begins down in the river valley and eventually winds its way to the ridge tops. We will provide transportation, snow machine and helmet. The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides 15-18 year-old youth with meaningful, professionally managed career-exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. The program is open to dependents of active duty, DoDcivilian, and retired military personnel.
• Candidates must be 15–18 years of age• Must be registered with Child, Youth & School Services (CYS Services)• Must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better• Chosen participants are required to work 15 hours/week for 12 weeks• Additional options and requirements may be offered during the Summer Term• Apprentices may complete up to 2 terms/year for 3 consecutive years
