Yes it is true that Glendean Parker has sold her home, but she too is staying in the village: you will soon be able to visit her at her new home on Benson Ave.

Several residents of the Bear River

First Nations Reserve recently re-turned from a week in Jamaica. You might be able to tell who they are by their tans.

Francois Bellefontaine is determined to leave no paradise untouched. This month he has been participating in Tahitian folkdancing and raw fish—yes, in Tahiti. He writes: "The luxuri-ant vegetation and the light and color of these islands make this a true paradise. I may just stay here."

It is nice to report that Bob Benson's ship has finally come in. Well, not so much a ship as a small yacht. Bob's friends all look forward to their first excursion on the yet-to-be-named vessel!

The baby shower , held on Monday, Feb. 20th, on the First Nations Re-serve for Shyla Harris was well at-tended and enjoyed by all.

Flora Doehler and Larry Knox's daughter, Emily has moved to Spain to work after a lovely interlude with her parents in Bear River.

We wish a speedy recovery to Diane Griffith who is convalescing after a stay in hospital. We miss her posi-tive energy at Myrtle and Rosie's.

CONGRATULATIONS: To Gary and Ginny Hurlock who cele-brate their 25th anniversary on March 26th. We hope the girls are back from farming and sloth hugging in Costa Rica in time to celebrate. CONDOLENCES: Condolences to the family and friends of Flo Baird, Jean Potter, Edith Read, Fran Fetter, Shirley Charlton, Enoch (Jr.) Peck and Carl Trimper, all of who passed away in February.

BEAR RIVER BOARD OF TRADE: Once again the Board of Trade has ignored their bylaws and will be hold-ing the annual general meeting on March 19th at 7:30 at the Firehall. Be there in person to find out the answer to many important questions. Unfortu-nately no one who is not already a member will be allowed to vote. Now that the plans for the sewage ex-pansion have been dropped, the wa-terfront development can go full steam ahead! In the meantime, read all about the B of T at www.thebearrivertides.com
