The BEHN+BATES impeller packer

has proven to be the most reliable solution for very fine

flour and plain flour types. It fills your products at a high

filling pressure thus ensuring low-air and compact product

packaging. The bulk density and the flowability of your

product are paramount for the selection of the correct

impeller filling system:

using the air filling principle is suitable for filling a wide

range of grain sizes. The continuous product flow from the

filling chamber is ensured by the fluidization air quantities

being adjustable to your product. For compact bag shapes

the special BEHN+BATES filling and de-aeration tube

removes the air from the bag already during filling.

PLUG ‘N PACK: OUR INTEGRA FD

Clean, silent and ready for operation within the shortest

possible time – Our ”Plug ‘n Pack” design INTEGRA FD

sets standards. It integrates the application, filling and

sealing stations in a compact dust-tight cabinet that is

completely assembled and cabled prior to delivery.

The INTEGRA FD can be supplied with 1 to 4 filling spouts

– or alternatively in expandable version for your flexible

production planning.

The traceability of products is of utmost importance in thefood industry. Carefully marked bags include informationon all important production data.We offer solutions for the printing of full bags – as well asfor the labeling of empty bags providing you with thevery special advantage of having the labels reliably applied and always in the same position on the clean bottom of the empty bags. A scanner guarantees thatonly accurately labeled bags are filled. In order to avoid the dust deposit areas, the label printercan, for example, be installed in such a wayas to be flush with the cabinet of the INTEGRA FD.

spouts of the ROTO-Packer are mounted on a rotating

Besides the standard ROTO-Packer for self-closing valves

we can supply our ROTOSEAL system to hermetically seal

the filled valve bags directly at the filling spout with the

help of ultrasound energy.

However, the filling of milling products requires very special

sensitivity. Only the well balanced combination of low-air

filling, a dust-tight filling spout and efficient de-aeration

provides optimum filling results – and this is our main

For the packing of milling products into your pre-fabricated

open-mouth bags we offer the BEHN+BATES TOPLINE

system. The complete bag processing is carried out in a

compact, dust-tight machine cabinet – starting with the

bag feed and filling up to the densification and sealing.

In brief: The function

The separated empty bag is taken out of the magazine,

exactly aligned and opened by suction cups. Bag grippers

take the pre-opened bag to apply it securely to our special

dust-tight powder filling spout. In order to compact your

products during or after filling we equip the TOPLINE with

vibrators – in specially encapsulated food-grade design –

and, if required, with an additional vacuum probe.

Each producer is keen on keeping packing costs low –

combined with maximum cleanliness. The FFS bag meets

this requirement to the largest possible extent. It is

formed out of a gusseted tubular film, filled and sealed

thus enabling the bag size to be optimally adjusted to

the product. As a result film consumption is reduced.

The ADAMS technology is the BEHN+BATES FFS system

for filling powdery milling products.

In brief: The function of the ADAMS

The film length needed for your product and your filling

weight is automatically cut from the film reel. The bottom

seam is welded with a minimum overlap. For an optimum

bag shape and for easy complete bag emptying it can be

fitted with corner welds.

Grippers take the pre-shaped, opened bag and apply it to

the dust-tight BEHN + BATES powder filling spout. Your

product is filled either by air or impeller units according to

the gross filling principle – being compacted at the same

time. Thanks to the gross filling system we reach brilliant

weight accuracies.

The upright standing bags are closed in a tight and

hygienic way directly after filling. Then they are flattened

and palletized. The result: Perfectly filled, compact bags

requiring just a minimum of film.

Regardless whether you process liquid baking additives

or malt extracts – your product can be filled in an

accurate clean way into jerrycans or IBCs. All our liquid

fillers are carried out in close cooperation with our sister

company Feige FILLING – a leading name in the filling of

liquid and pasty products as well as a guarantor for the

gravimetric filling with calibrated accuracy for more than

40 years.

We can provide semi-automatic filling machines as well as

fully automatic solutions with complete periphery. With

semi-automatic fillers the operator opens the empty

container, positions and aligns it underneath the filling

lance before starting the automatic filling process. After

filling, he closes the container and opens the next empty

one. In fully automatic processes, the empty and closed

containers are transported to the filler. There they are

exactly positioned underneath the tools, automatically

opened, filled and re-closed. Other functions such as

labeling, nitrogen purging, overpressure bunging or leak

testing can be integrated into the automatic process.

Palletizer G1000The filled bags are handled one-by-one by a gripper tool and

deposited on a double false pallet. The completed layer is

squared and placed onto the pallet.

Palletizers - Series 1000 to 1800The filled bags are oriented either by a turning flap or by a

turning cross. The bag layers are formed row by row,

squared and pressed before being placed onto the pallet.
