Page 2: The believer’s prayer life presentation group

•As apostolic people, we must be committed to our mandate to build

•One of the structures that we’ve been commanded to build is a house of prayer

•God has a blueprint for how he wants to build

•Exodus 30:1 gives us a pattern for prayer in the church

•The Lord gives Moses a pattern for prayer

•God tells Moses to mix a specific compound of oil to be burned on the altar

•This oil represented the prayers of the saints (Revelation 8)

•This fire was to never go out

•Let’s go to vs. 34 to look at the ingredients of the oil

•Stacte: this also is the word for nataph which means to drop down; ooze down or to flow with inspiration

This word is also connected to the prophetic

Our prayers should have a prophetic flow

•Onycha: a finely grounded powder that comes from the mollox shell

In order to obtain this substance the children of Isreal had to dive to the bottom of the water to retrieve the mollox shell on a daily basis

They had to get low = humility

We should approach prayer with humility

•Galbanum: a fatty gummy substance used to hold things together Hebrews 1:3 says, “He upholds all things by the power of his word”

Isaiah 5:16 “I have put my word in your mouth”

•The word of God is in our mouth

•When we release it in prayer it becomes the substance that holds our prayers together

•The Hebrew word for Intercession is “paga” which means

1. To meet with

2. To push against

3. To strike against

4. To fall upon

5. To lay on

•As we’ve been discussing – blueprints are patterns that we can continually follow and we will get the desired result

Exodus 30:36 says that if we follow the pattern that God will meet us and it will be “most holy”

•Strategies are divine instructions that have been given to us by God to link us with blessing, breakthrough, healing, deliverance, etc. that God desires to give us

•God may give you a pattern in scripture to use in His strategic timing

•Prayer watches are an example of a pattern that can be given by God as a strategy

•Let’s look at the pattern of each the 8 prayer watches

•Psalms 55:7 says, “Morning, noon and night I cry out in my distress , and the Lord hears my voice.”

• We can pray morning, noon and night and the Lord will hear us and give us various results
