Belltrees Public School ‘We Give Our Best’ Week 8 , Term 2 - 2019 Principal’s report: This fortnight saw students at Belltrees Public School participate in a variety of activities; Our Stage 2 and Stage Three students participated in the NSW Touch Football Gala Day and the Year Five students attended the Science and Engineering challenge in Muswellbrook. Unfortunately, the Belltrees Sports Carnival was postponed for circumstances outside of our control, I apologise for any inconvenience this caused however it was unavoidable. Over the last two weeks, I have attended a variety of professional learning opportunities. This has meant that I have unfortunately been away from the school a bit more than I would wish, however, it has provided me insight into more effective ways to enhance our students’ academic and social outcomes, which will have long lasting positive impacts for our students. With only two weeks of school left for Term 2, I will be contacting parents to organise three-way interviews (parents/teacher/student). These meetings will provide the foundations for learning goals in Semester Two and identify the progress each student has made during the last two terms. It is a great opportunity to have parents provide the school feedback during these meetings also, we highly value the insights are parenting body can provide and we encourage this feedback to the school. It has been a busy but exciting term but I am sure there is more to come. Finally, we have had the pleasure, over the last week of hosting Miss Eden H, from Scone High School on working experience.
