MOJO COLLABORATION CASE STUDIES
Mojo have collaborated on a number of different levels
EXAMPLE 1 Installation of Voith Hydro Monopile
Project Description
Development of a large bore subsea drill culminating in the successful installation of a tidal turbine monopile.
This project was the subject of a TSB grant.
Collaborators
Mojo’s Role
• Marine operations management - Planning
- Procurement
- Offshore supervision
• Subsea template design
• Umbilical design
• Umbilical handling system design
Benefits of Collaboration
• The opportunity to provide marine operational support for Bauer is ongoing
• The successful outcome of a high profile project has enhanced Mojo’s reputation
• This project has led directly to further collaborations with major companies on exciting projects
EXAMPLE 2 The MOR group

companies – Mojo is a founder member
• Actively promotes the joint capabilities of its members
• Committed to contributing to the aims of the South West Marine Energy Park
• Coordinates and facilitates enquiry meetings with developers and its members
• Creates an environment in which members can develop mutually beneficial relationships
Benefits of Collaboration
• Combined presence at All Energy under the banner of the South West Marine Energy Park
• Involvement in the DTI’s business events centred around the Olympics
• Strengthening of relationships with member companies leading to potential joint ventures
EXAMPLE 3 FabTest
Fabtest • Low cost scale testing of wave devices/ moorings
• Stepping stone to full scale development
• De-risks deployments
• Industry/ Academic/ Wave Hub partnership and collaboration
• Formulated, led and delivered by partners
Benefits of Collaboration
• Without the involvement of all the partners, the project would not have happened
• The development of the site led to it being used for sub-sea component testing for which Mojo were the marine operations managers/ subsea tooling designers
• This project has led to further work and enquiries in that particular field
EXAMPLE 4 University of Exeter Phd
University of Exeter Phd
• Mojo co-fund a Phd with University of Exeter
• The body of work is around marine operations planning and analysis for the installation of marine renewables/ offshore wind
• This includes looking at operating windows to optimise working times and drive down cost
Benefits of Collaboration
• The outputs of the study are being used to inform our installation planning
• We are able to access the Phd researchers hydro-dynamic analysis skills for projects
Summary
Our collaborative projects have;
• Increased our skillset, capabilities and experience
• Enhanced our reputation within the industry
• Led directly to further work
