The State Premier® Solar Water Heating System is

a complete, integrated system that’s ready to install.

The system includes everything you need: water

tank (80 or 120-gallon), solar collectors (two or

three), pump station and all mounting hardware.

It’s an extremely low-impact, eco-friendly

technology that takes advantage of existing energy –

the sun. And it’s highly efficient. In fact, solar

thermal collectors can provide the same amount

of energy as photovoltaic solar collectors at 1/8th

of the cost.

represents the latest technology, offering

homeowners an efficient and advanced way

to heat water.

With 2.5 to 4.0 Solar Energy Factor (SEF)

Ratings, the State Premier Solar Water Heating

System provides up to 70% of the energy needed

for water heating directly from the sun.

How it works. Solar collector panels fastened to the roof facing the

sun gather heat. The heat is passed on to a heat

transfer fluid, which

is pumped to a heat exchanger where the energy is

transferred to the water in the storage tank.

The larger the tank and number of solar panels,

the more energy you can capture from the sun.

In the event that the sun is not providing enough

energy, the storage tank incorporates a back-up

heating element to provide hot water.

It’s “green” in more ways than one.The State Premier Solar Water Heating System can save

money by taking energy from the sun. But it can also

save money for homeowners because, through 2016,

it is eligible for a federal tax credit of 30% of the total

installation cost (No Cap).

In addition, it’s ENERGY STAR® qualified. Many state

and local utility rebates exist to promote the adoption of

this new technology.

The system comes complete with tank, pump station,

solar collectors, automatic air vent, standard mounting

hardware, roof flashing, thermostatic mixing valves,

expansion tank with mounting kit, tank and collector

sensors (includes 75 ft. lead wire), and propylene glycol

(Dow Frost™

).

Pump Station Features.Wall mounted pump station with integrated controls -

includes multiple speed pump, programmable electronic

control with LCD interface, isolation valves, fill and

drain valves, check valves, temperature gauges,

pressure gauge, solar loop pressure relief valve,

flow meter and air stripper all in an

enclosed, insulated assembly.
