It’s been a hectic month, but what a beautiful time of year! The abundant rains which our Lord has sent have produced a wonderful landscape of brilliant Spring colors in South West Georgia. It reminds us all of the beauty of new life we enjoy because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our two teams of BCM students from Georgia Southern University did a great job for us and for their Lord last week. They gave of their Spring Break to come to the Bethel Association and lead Youth Revival services, do a couple of service projects, and canvass a couple of neighborhoods for our mission church. God blessed us with a great response from our church youth groups and with timing the rain showers just right for them to get their construction work done each day. Thank you, Donna Blackburn, and Frank and Eileen Smith and students for being obedient and allowing God to use you to bless so many others.

I also want to thank our churches for their eagerness to help by providing meals for the teams while they were here. Mount Hebron, Bluffton, Colomokee, Milford, Southside, Arlington, Shiloh, Vilulah, and Leary churches each contributed a meal along with your associational staff, and Mt. Hebron provided the facilities for the teams to “live in” throughout the week, as well as serving as the central meeting place for all youth revival meetings. Well done, all you good and faithful servants!

I also want to thank our 16 hardy volunteers from 4 different churches who helped us set up, decorate, oper-ate, and take down our “Baby Comfort Station” ministry tent for the big Peanut Proud Festival in Blakely last weekend. Joyce and Ewell Jarrett, Meghan and Michael Williams, Danny Williams, Flinn Gregory, Dale and Emmett Mock, Debbie Meredith, Cindy Widener, Pat James, Cynthia Nichols, Pat Miliner, Shirley Simms, Mary Holloway, and Angie Wilson all braved the cold wind and rain to serve others in Jesus’ Name at the Festival. It was a beautiful example of how individuals from several different churches can work together to be the Body of Christ in their local community.

Please pray for Dr. Gary Hadden, Rev. Ron Phillips, and myself as we travel to Lithuania on April 5-15. We will be touring the country with IMB Missionaries Milton and Lara Magalhaes and exploring opportuni-ties for our churches to partner with them in their church planting efforts in that spiritually needy country. I look forward to sharing the results and findings of our trip with you upon our return.

Until then, keep looking up!

Bro. James
