The Annual Inter House Boxing Championship is an event that is keenly contested by a large number of students, every year. Preparations for the Championships began weeks in advance of the preliminary bouts that took place over a fortnight, and culminated on the evening scheduled for the Finals of the Inter House Boxing Championships. This year, we saw over 250 boxers take to the ring, with 204 bouts being scheduled as part of the elimination rounds and the finals of this spectacular event. The officials from the Pune City Amateur Boxing Association consented to oversee the bouts and ensured the complete safe-ty of our boxers, while in the ring. Mr Frank R Freese, Principal of The Bishop’s School, Camp, said a word of prayer before the commencement of the formalities of the evening. Mrs. and Mr. Anil Seolikar were invited to be the guests of honor and accordingly, they graced the evening with their presence. In his address, Mr. Seolikar made a mention of how he experienced a feeling of nostalgia, having returned to his Alma Mater to witness an event of this magnitude. Mrs. Seolikar was a picture of true elegance as she felicitated the boxers who had reached and participated in the finals of the Boxing Champion-ships for the year.
