Killed over 25 million people, which was over 1/3 of total European population in the 1300’s.
66 % case fatality rate. The plague was a turning point in the
European economy because so many people died that wages rose and people were able to take on jobs that they couldn’t before.
Helped to break down Feudalism because peasants had more options available to them.
