The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

In Ms McGarry's literacy group, we've been studying a book by John Boyne, called The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. It is a very sophisticated text that has really made us think. Last week, we put ourselves in the shoes of the characters in the book. Inspired by the author's tone, we wrote a character profile of Gretel from Bruno's point of view, then flipped it round and wrote a character profile of Bruno, from Gretel's point of view!

Coming Back for an even more fun THIRD Club Monday 7th of November

MAGICAL MATHS!

The Super Fun Afterschool Maths Club

There are 3 places left for the club on Monday, so don’t miss out!

Magical Maths clubs are quite the spectacle! Each club runs for six weeks and each week has a single, one-hour session which covers a variety of educational topics in a fun and exciting way and the good news is each is self-contained so you don’t have to have been to any before and we have all new content each club. The clubs include some dressed up characters that will visit each week, Professor Poopenshtinken, a Maths Detective, a Maths Genius, the Olympic Mathletes, and a Mathemagician.

Each week there are three different activities that the children will take part in. These activities are based around mega fun games, puzzles and tricks.

The activities are all educational and in line with the National Curriculum. Furthermore, the club content is tailored to the relevant key stage / year group of the attendees, complementing what the children learn in school!

Magical Maths provides children with an opportunity to practice and develop their maths skills which increases their confidence and mathematical ability.

To book your child’s place today please click on the link below, type ‘London Fields’ in to the school club finder, then simply input your child’s details in to the correct club:

www.magicalmathsclub.com or call 07961 797899 / 020 8558 7536

This is Maths, but not as you know it… be

prepared to have some serious fun!
