We offer students a premium quality, contemporary British education, delivered by outstanding teachers, in a warm and engaging learning environment.

We invite all prospective parents to make an appointment with our Admissions Office and take the time to visit our school. We can offer your family a personalised tour with an opportunity to discuss the educational needs of your child. It is helpful if your children can accompany you on this first visit.

This is a great opportunity for you to meet our teachers and see learning in action! We look forward to seeing you soon.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOLStructure and CurriculumWe offer the complete English National Curriculum, delivered by highly qualified and experienced teachers, originating from the UK and other western nations. We add Arabic language, UAE Social Studies and Islamic Studies (for Muslim students) as per UAE law.

We also offer a range of extra curricula activities, trips, camps and special events to broaden our students’ experiences.

We operate a 13 year curriculum. The compulsory years of schooling begin in Year 1; students must be 5 years old (before 1 September) to enter Year 1. Our students complete their studies in Year 13, leaving school at about 18 years of age.

We also offer 2 years of Foundation Stage studies. Students enter FS1 when they are 3 years old or enter FS2 when they are 4 years old. These early years provide a sound developmental base, forming essential stepping stones on a student’s journey to formal schooling.

We believe every student should be supported and challenged to become the best they can be. At the admissions stage we review prior school reports and in some cases assess students prior to joining to make the correct year level placement and to ensure they will thrive in our school.

Parents are requested to ensure that any special educational requirements have been fully disclosed and discussed before a place is offered. We reserve the right to exclude a student if we are unable to appropriately meet their needs.

We always seek to promote equal opportunity, applying our regulations on admissions fairly and without

prejudice.

English Language RequirementsEducation is delivered in English. To ensure maximum participation, students must have a high level of spoken and written English, appropriate to their age. While we do accept students who are still learning English, we ensure each class has an appropriate balance of native English speakers, so that every student has the opportunity to excel.

Additional Education NeedsOur school has a Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy based on the provision available. The acceptance of students with additional learning needs will only be confirmed by the appropriate Head of School after discussing with parents. Upon application, it is essential for parents to share all of the information regarding the student’s learning needs, including any professional assessments. Failure to do so might risk the loss of a place if we find that we are not equipped to best assist and support the student’s development.

Where a student is diagnosed with educational needs after enrolment, the school will endeavour to support the student and parent. Where we cannot meet their educational and social needs, we will duly inform the parent – and as feasible, advise with regard to a suitable, alternative educational institution.

Class SizeWe aim to ensure that class sizes will not exceed 18 students in Foundation Stage, and 22 students throughout the rest of the school. It possible that for very brief, limited periods, these class sizes may be exceeded as new students join a group during a school term.

Dates for AdmissionOur school has two fixed application periods each year. During these periods, we invite parents to submit their applications with all their supporting documents. At the close of the period, all applications will be reviewed and then an offer will be made. These fixed application periods allow us to ensure the children we accept reflect a balance of nationalities, languages, gender and abilities. We value diversity and seek to create learning environments where every student thrives.

We also accept applications for admissions throughout the year, and where spaces are available we will make offers to individual families outside the fixed application periods. Please feel free to contact us at any time to arrange a meeting or a personal school tour.

Welcome to the British international school!
