In accordance with 22(1) of Air Navigation Order 2009 as amended the following action required by this Mandatory Permit Directive (MPD) is mandatory for applicable aircraft registered in the United Kingdom operating on a UK CAA Permit to Fly.

Applicability: Dynamic WT9-UK Serial Numbers DY135-DY239 inclusive.

Reason: Following service experience and a review by Yeoman Light Aircraft Company Limited, it has been identified that a potential failure mode exists for some early serial WT9-UK Dynamics in which the fuel cock lever may depart from the main body of the fuel cock, rendering the use of the fuel cock impossible.

Effective Date: 24 October 2012

Compliance/Action: Within five flying hours of the effective date of this MPD, inspect the red fuel cock lever for its attachment in the fuel cock body and repair as necessary, in accordance with YLAC-SB-WT09-002-008. This inspection (with remedial action if necessary) must be repeated at each 100h service. Documentation On completion, a note should be made describing the inspection and any work completed in the aircraft logbook. The name, date and signature of the person who carried out the work should be included.
