The Builder First Baptist Church Covington, Tennessee
Closing Out 2014
2014 … where have you gone? Was
it a few days or weeks ago we were
welcoming you into our lives? Now
you are leaving never to return. 2015 is knocking at the
door soon. What will it hold in store for us?
No one could have predicted the events of 2014 …
especially gas at $1.99. I pulled into the convenience
store immediately and filled the tank. No one could
predict the unrest both in our country and around the
world. No one could predict the political events. No one
could predict the swift manner that the “sexual
alternative lifestyle” would crash into our lives whether
we like it or not. No one could predict that FBC would
experience the rapid growth in attendance.
One thing I can predict … Hebrews 13:8 … Jesus
Christ will be the same yesterday, today and forever. He
is ready for the unpredictable; capable to direct us
through the uncertainties, and willing to comfort in
times of distress. I am glad He’s my Savior. I am glad to
be your pastor in 2015.
In His Grip,
