Where has all the snow been?

Happy January! We’re only eight days into this month, and I’ve begun to lose all hope of snow... On the bright side of things, our roads stay safe and no volunteer events can get cancelled! I hope going back to school wasn’t too painful of a process for most of you. Now

that it’s the new year, it means elections, new goals, new officers, and... DCON! I hope all of you will seriously consider attending DCON: Diving Into Service this year! It’s great being able to meet Key Clubbers from all over Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Canada, and even Alaska! I especially encourage underclassmen to attend, so you can experience how big the

Pacific Northwest District really is. So start fundraising, Bumblebees!

DIvision 21’s long-term goals are to have all 12 clubs in their area have active status, be efficient in fundraising and awareness for Key Club International’s sponsoring projects as well as Pacific Northwest District’s projects, and have complete communication between all clubs regardless of distance.

However, our biggest goals are those stated by Key Club International:To provide service, build character, and develop leadership.

DCON Registration Deadline: February 5th! (But please turn in registration ASAP!)

You need:

- Chaperones. 1 adult to every 8 Key Clubbers.

- Money. Most clubs split the cost in three: Kiwanis, club fund,

attending member.

- Transportation.

- Paperwork. Contact me if you need the forms resent.

District Derby Update

Congratulations Chester! You’ve done so well this year as

Divisional Secretary, and are always there with a smile and a

helping hand. I’m so proud to call you my innie, and am

especially excited to see what your LTG term will have in store

for you!

At our election rally, our District Treasurer announced that we have gotten 2nd place in the District

Derby!

Q.What is District Derby?

A. A competition to see which division can get 75% of their clubs’ dues in the fastest!

Q.Why does it matter that we “won”?

A. DCON sitting is assigned in order of the winners of the District Derby. This means we are extremely

close to the front and not in the Overflow room this year!
